“About time you woke up, brother.” She slapped him on the back, and he stumbled forward.

While the twins practiced archery, Xaden put his arm around my waist, drawing me to his side.

“I love my siblings, but how long do we have to watch them show off for you like they are ten instead of eighteen before we can be alone and have a real reunion in my bed?”

I kissed his cheek. “Don’t worry, we have our whole lives to spend with each other.”

“And I can’t wait to share every minute with you.” His hand drifted down to my belly. “And our children.”

Three light taps against the inside of my belly made me gasp. They almost felt like butterfly wings.

“What?” His face filled with concern.

“The triplets, they moved.” I beamed. “They must know you’re their father.”

“Of course.” He kissed my forehead. “They are super smart like their mother.”

“And they're brave and strong like their father.” I placed my hand over his. My life was perfect, and I didn’t need anything else.

Epilogue

Xaden

"Your children are awake." Riley put her cold feet on my back, giving me a nudge.

"Mine?" I teased and grasped her foot hauling her closer to me. "I thought they were both of ours."

I massaged her feet before sliding my hand up her thigh and her contented sigh had me wishing we could stay in bed all day.

"Mom, Dad, Jenax broke one of my feathers," Krelay cried.

"And you stole my colors," Jenax shouted back. "Ewww, Brex just threw up on the rug."

Riley patted my hand, pulling the covers up to her chin. "You promised to take them flying so Brex will stop making summersaults until he gets dizzy."

"You could help." I kissed her cheek.

"No way, today's my day to visit with Melody and I kept the triplets busy the last four days while you played with Brexl, Jax, and the other warriors."

"That is training," I said in a serious tone. "Not playing."

"Oh? And the laughing and singing into the night?" She pouted. "Please, Xaden, I haven't had a day off since the triplets were babies."

Of course, she was right. I'd offered many times, but it was like Riley didn't want to be away from them long. But now they'd hit four, which was called the frightening fours and they were squeezing every ounce of trouble they could out of their pores.

And even though Riley had made friends with my sister and Alva and a handful of other Angeliminir, it wasn't the same as when her human friend Melody visited.

I leaned over Riley and kissed her. Tasting her sweetness as she sighed against my lips.

"Mooooommm!"

"Have fun with Melody. I'll have dinner ready tonight when you get back."

"And I'll be dessert after the kids are asleep?" She nibbled at my lower lip.

"Keep that up and we'll have dessert right now."

She giggled, but lightly brushed her lips across my collarbone. "I can’t wait."
