“Yes, bedsheets are changed, and I dusted. I hope he doesn’t mind using the hall bath.”

“Why would he mind?”

“I don’t know. I’m just saying.”

“He’s not a snob; it won’t matter to him.”

Noah’s phone rings, and as he walks away, I can hear him say Vivian’s name. It’s the third time tonight he’s talked to her. I can hear him laughing in his office. I’m happy he’s re-established a relationship with Rory’s mother, but I feel envious he’s so easy-going with her.

Maybe if I get a free chance with Lucian, I can question him about their relationship. It’s not that I want to snoop, but I’m curious about how they were together.

After I finish in the guest room, I head to the kitchen to make sure the refrigerator is fully stocked. Beer is low, and I know Lucian loves Killian’s. I specifically bought a couple of six-packs. I open the pantry door and add several bottles to chill.

It was a long day at work. JC was not in the office; he had to see his divorce attorney. Amazingly enough, Brianna agreed to the divorce without much of a fight. His father is putting up more of an argument than she. Jonathan the third was plenty angry when he found out the marriage was over.

I sit down to read a bridal magazine I picked up a few days ago. We’re getting close, and I’m nervous. In a few short months I’m going to be Mrs. Noah Wilton. I must have dozed off because I feel lips on my cheek, and I wake to see Lucian’s smiling face hovering over me.

“Luc, how are you?”

“I’m great. You look beautiful. I always tell Noah how lucky he is.”

A hot blush comes to my face. “Thank you.”

I stand up to hug him, and he wraps his arms around me, lifting me, then plants a kiss right on my lips. I see Noah over his shoulder scowling.

“Alright, you two with the lovefest.”

Lucian puts me down and turns to his brother. “Jealous she might like me better than you?”

“I highly doubt that, Luc. You don’t have as big a dick as I do.”

“Would you like to compare?”

Noah’s hands rest on his zipper, and I stop the banter.

“Enough with the pissing contest, boys.”

“We’re ordering in. What would you like, Luc?”

“I’m craving some good old New York pizza.”

My mouth starts to water because it’s been a long time since I’ve had it. Antonio’s around the corner makes the best Neapolitan pizza. I beg Noah to get a couple of pies. He grumbles because they don’t deliver but then smiles and grabs his wallet while I make the call.

“Luc, do you want to come?”

“I’d rather freshen up a little if you don’t mind.”

“Okay, be back in a little while. Keep your hands off my fiancée.”

I stick my tongue out at Noah as he walks out the door with a smirk on his face. I’m sure he has his usual phrase in his mind, “don’t stick your tongue out unless you plan to use it.”

Now is the time I can question Luc about Vivian. I’m bursting with curiosity. We head into the kitchen, and Luc sits down at the island.

“Would you like a beer? I got your favorite, Killian’s.”

“You’re awesome. If Noah weren’t marrying you, I would. Speaking of married, how’s Megan. Is she married to that Jeremy guy yet?”

“Actually, no. They broke up, and she’s moving to Manhattan.”
