“I can hang up the phone.”
She felt panic at the thought of him not being with her when she exploded.
“Please don’t. I need you with me,” she moaned.
Xander could hear it in her voice. She was getting close, and he sped up his stroking so that he would come nearly at the same time as she.
“Oh, God. Xander,” she moaned loudly.
“Come, sweetheart; I know you want it.”
She climaxed, and the phone slid from her hand as she did. He could hear her panting as she came down from her orgasm. A minute later he was coming in several large spurts. She finally picked up the phone as he was finishing.
“I wish you were here with me. I love how you hold me after we make love. I can’t wait for it to be like that again.”
“It will be. I have to go we still have people here, and I have been away to long already. I just needed to make sure you were satisfied before you fell asleep.”
“I love you. Goodnight, Xander.”
“Goodnight, sweetheart.”
She hung up the phone and put it back on her nightstand. A heated flush had come over her body, and she went to sleep without the covers.
The next morning Ava awoke refreshed even though her sleep had been interrupted. But it was a good interruption. She hoped that there would be many more of those to come. She got into work earlier than her usual 7:00 and sat at her desk organizing a few files. At 7:15, she received an email from Victoria. She wouldn’t be in today or tomorrow. She had some things of a personal nature to take care handle. Great, she could have let me know that yesterday.
Normally, Victoria would give her work in advance if she was going to be out. Usually, she had more work than she could handle but she had completed all the work she was given already. So she had a free day for the next few hours. Ava went to Jacob’s office to see if he needed anything.
When she got there, his office door was closed, and the transom indicated his office was dark. He probably was in court today. She wandered down the hall to say hello to Samantha. They met on the way to Sam’s desk, and after a brief exchange, Sam had to go. Next, she went to Uncle Daniel’s office to see if he needed any help. He instructed her to either take the next two days off or to go to the pool of assistants to help out. She preferred to go home. A four day weekend would be nice.
The heat was oppressive when she went out the doors of the office building. The temperature must have increased twenty degrees since she got to work. She was thinking about a run in the park, but she thought it would be insane to do that with the heat index so high. Then she had another idea; she texted Xander hoping he was awake at this hour. He was in agreement and very excited. She made the arrangements and got ready to go.

Ava arrivedin Los Angeles at 2:00 PM. As she made her way out of the terminal, she noted that the heat wasn’t nearly as oppressive as New York. She hailed a taxi and gave the driver the address of the hotel where she would be staying. She spared no expense and had reserved a suite and was glad that she could afford it. Next, she texted Xander when she arrived, excited to see him. She was a few miles from Lidia’s home, but it was a lot closer than New York.
Xander had received her text and packed a small overnight bag. He didn’t have much with him here in California and needed to go clothes shopping. But with Ava, he wouldn’t need to wear much. He spoke to both Lidia and Brett swearing them to secrecy. Brett was getting around much better, and he would be able to take care of Lidia for a couple of days. They both knew how important it was for him to see Ava. It was something that Lidia had been hoping would happen. She knew how depressed Xander had been while he was apart from Ava for the past four years.
Ava quickly showered not knowing how soon Xander would be at the hotel. She was sweaty from her travels. She was correct to hurry because as soon as she stepped from the bathroom wrapped in a towel, there was a knock at the door. She checked the peephole, opened the door and Xander swept her up in his arms. He buried his head in her neck breathing in the clean scent of her. Then he latched his lips upon hers as he closed the door with his foot.
He turned around and pushed her back against the door clawing at the towel which dropped at his feet. She wrapped her legs and arms around him as he tugged at his shorts. He was already rock hard, and she was wet just thinking about him entering her. The only thing that could be heard in the room was their heavy breathing and the rustling sound of his clothing dropping on the floor.
He held her with one arm while he positioned himself at her opening. With one swift move, he let her drop onto him. She gently sank her teeth into his shoulder as his cock pistoned in and out. She threw her head back, and he planted kisses on her neck and collarbone.

“I’m so pleased you came to see me.” He knew she had a fear of flying.
“I couldn’t stay away anymore. I needed to be with you.”

“I have something to tell you.”
“I don’t like the sound of that.”
“It’s not a bad thing, but you might think it is. I told Lidia and Brett we are back together. I had to, or they would have wondered why I was disappearing for a few days.”
“What did they say?”
