Page 64 of Knot Her Fight

Will he say something sexual? Maybe he wants to teach me how to take knots. Or swallow them. I should probably figure out both if I really am staying here for my heat…

Jo’s large hand comes up to pet my head, stroking my hair back while he looms over me. “Well, I want to take you to the beach. That’s a must. Do you know how to swim? If you don’t, I can teach you. It’s not so hard.”

He wants…

To teach me to swim?

I blink at him. My Omega peers out at his face, nudging at me the same way she did with Avery, only this time I feel like she’s almost rolling her eyes at me.

If she could speak, she’d be saying, See? Told ya so.

When he sees whatever my face is doing, his creases in a frown. “I know it might not sound like much fun, but it really is a safety thing, hummingbird. We live in a place with a lot of water, and we have a pool. I should maybe get you professional lessons or?—”

I arch up, kissing him harder than before. He grunts, catching me against him and holding me there effortlessly.

When he pulls back with a bewildered blink, I start to shimmy out from under him. “Come on.”

He sits up and watches me stand. “Where are we going?”

I reach for the hem of my T-shirt and strip it off, flashing the nude sports bra underneath. For half a second, my usual shame starts to creep up.

Stupid little?—

But Jonah purrs, the sound sinking into my center and unraveling any anxiety there. “Manamea,” he murmurs, his eyes skimming my bare torso with unrestrained adoration. “You are so damn gorgeous.”

It only makes me more sure of my decision. I hook my thumbs into my shorts and shove them down, leaving my lower half in a lacy pair of black briefs.

Jonah’s mouth actually drops open. I smile wider. “You want to teach me to swim, right? Well, we have a pool, but I don’t have a bathing suit. Is that a problem?”

His throat works as he reaches his brawny hand to his fly and grips the long, thick ridge there. Something that manages to be both dark and light flashes through his eyes as he quirks a brow. “You flirting with me, omega?”

I guess I am. And I don’t even feel ashamed of it.

A happy laugh bubbles up my throat. “Yeah, I think so.”

Honest softness fills his gaze. “Then I’m the luckiest man alive.”

That look gives me enough confidence to reach for my bra. Just before I pull it off, I pause, looking around at the high brick walls protecting their property. Jonah follows my train of thought and stands, coming to block me from anyone’s view.

“We have cameras, and we own all the land around the fence,” he murmurs, reaching to pull his own shirt off. “No one will see us…except maybe the guys. If they’re home.”

Thick brows lower in consternation. “Is that okay with you?”

Again, I can just tell he means it. If I’m uncomfortable, we won’t do it.

As simple as that.

His sincerity touches me all over again, bringing back my bravery. I whip the sports bra off and toss it aside.

Even Jonah’s growl somehow sounds warm. Possessive and approving. “You sure, baby?” he roughs out, the inked russet skin of his chest shifting while his muscles bunch, hands reaching over to skim along my bare sides.

He drops his voice into a teasing rasp. “They could be watching right now… seeing your perfect perky tits bouncing. The way you’re pressing those pretty thighs together. All the naughty glances you keep sending down here.”

He cups himself, the motion just careless enough to make my breath catch. When I lick my lips and accidentally look down at the outline of his erection again, he laughs quietly.

But he isn’t laughing at me. Or mocking me for wanting him.

He doesn’t think I’m silly or stupid. Instead, he praises me.
