Page 150 of Knot Her Fight

My throat tightens while I absorb that, running my eyes over her face. Needing to remember every second of this.

“I’m grateful, too,” I tell her, nuzzling my temple into hers. “You’re my dream, omega. I love you so goddamn much.”

She whimpers, fighting her exhaustion to try to stretch up and kiss me. I help her straddle my lap, holding most of her weight with my hands balanced under her perfect ass.

There’s so much slick pouring out of her, there’s no need to work my cock into her slowly. She takes the whole thing in a single glide, leaving me panting as I hit the end of her snug heat and feel her pussy lips suck at my knot.

It’s tempting to work her up and down my length, taking time to feel the way she grips me. But she needs me right now. And that will always be the most important thing.

Circling my hips, I press my knot past the entrance of her pussy. Her slick heat tugs at the swell, instantly doubling my girth until she mewls.

A growly purr revs in my chest, and she throws her limp body into it, clasping her arms around my torso with what little strength she has left. I stroke my fingers into her hair with one hand and use the other to work her around my knot, letting her feel the way it fills her.

We don’t last long before we’re both gasping and grasping at each other. She comes with a soft cry that pierces my heart. I hold myself stiff inside of her, letting her body use mine to soothe her pain.

There’s one spot left on her throat, right above Avery’s bite, opposite Spencer’s. I take it between my teeth while she’s still coming, knowing the bite will help extend her pleasure.

The second I break her skin, I feel myself lose control. Some distant part of my mind registers that she’s biting me, too. Simultaneously taking my bond and giving me hers. So that one moment, one blink later?—

She’s there.

She’s here.

A glowing tether stretches between our centers. Filling me with contentment. Giving my life a whole new purpose.

Her. This. Us.

And I know I’ll never need anything else.

sixty-six

I can’t believe I almost gave this up.

It’s a thought I’ve had every day since Serena bit me. The utter disbelief that I nearly forfeited a pack bond as some sort of penance.

She’s been in heat for nearly five days, and every hour only makes me more thankful that our omega knew better. She knew that we needed this, somehow, and made sure to give it to us.

It’s taken this long, but I’m almost used to being able to tune into the guys’ thoughts. We all occasionally shut each other out, but for the most part, we’ve needed our lines open to keep Serena well cared for.

Right now, she’s dreaming about her garden. We can only see flickers—lights, colors, sometimes scents. But I can tell Spencer is listening as hard as I am because his lips keep twitching up. He doesn’t even seem upset about being distracted from the equations on his mind.

Avery is half-listening. That’s the way his mind works, I’ve noticed. He can only give complete focus to a handful of things—going over every step of his latest match, looking for errors; and pack stuff—like how secretly grateful he is that Spencer sat through his fight and how excited he is for Serena to see the next one.

Right now, he’s mentally blocking out all the workouts he’ll have to do to make up for his time in here—though, he notes, he won’t need to catch up on cardio. If anything, he might need to reduce that a bit…

Jonah would usually be thinking along similar lines, working overtime to catch up on practices he’s missed, but he’s pretending to sleep. We let him get away with it, even though it’s obvious he’s busy behind his curtain. He has his eyes shut, but a heavily pensive frown pulls under his beard.

The fact that we’ve all gotten more than six hours of rest makes his ruse less convincing. For the first few days, Serena needed one of us every hour—sometimes more than one of us. Yesterday, she started to go for longer stretches, just needing to be held or purred for.

Today, she finally started sleeping more, which Spencer says is a good sign. Her Omega must finally feel satisfied; we should see our sweet baby again soon.

Which means it’s time to discuss what happened outside the locker room after the fight.

According to the alpha who approached my pack, his omega, Remi, is best friends with Meg Ash… who met Serena in the stadium at the pre-season game and instantly knew something was amiss. A fact she confirmed with her alphas by asking Jonah to show them all a picture last week.

Apparently, Remi and Serena are identical. And both of them were placed for adoption at birth.
