She pressed her nipples against my chest, her hips moving in time with my fingers.

I should have teased her, brought her to the brink, then backed off, but I wanted her to go over again. I wanted her to ride my fingers, taking what she wanted.

I loved the way she fell apart, spasming around me, her head resting against my chest. I kissed the top of her head, removing my fingers, and tasting her juices. “You’re beautiful when you come.”

“You’re a dirty talker,” she said when I washed my hands in the sink.

“Surprised?”

“A little.”

I grabbed my shirt, pulling it over her head before checking the pizza. “It’s ready.”

Grabbing an oven mitt, I set the pizza on the stove. Taking her hand, I pulled her to sit on the sofa. “It’ll be a few minutes before I can cut it.”

She straddled my lap, her pussy settling over my cock.

I gripped her hip. “I want you, but I want to take this slow.”

She raised a brow. “Seriously?”

I chuckled. “I know this doesn’t seem slow, but I want you to know that when I fuck you, it’s not some rash, spur-of-the-moment thing. I thought about it and bided my time to get you.”

She shivered, hopefully from the intensity of my words. “I like that.”

She lowered her head until her lips met mine. The kiss was slow and sweet, leaving me aching for her.

She ground over me. “Can you hold out?”

“I want to. I don’t want you to regret us.” I may not be able to give her forever, but I could make sure I took care of her heart while I had it.

She smiled. “You’re such a good guy.”

“And you want me to be bad.”

She nodded. “Kinda.”

Rumpled and sated from her orgasms, she was adorable. I tugged gently on her hair. “It will be better if we wait.”

Her nose scrunched. “If tonight is anything to go by, it’s going to be earth-shattering whenever we do it.”

“I have to agree.” My fingers tangled in her hair, bringing her down to meet my mouth. This girl was as sweet as her smoothies.

I’d never felt anything close to the emotion swelling in my chest. I’d loved Delilah like a kid with his first crush, and it morphed into a typical steady relationship. Easy and dependable. Not passionate or messy.

I never let another woman in. I was ashamed of the person I’d become, not wanting them to see under my rough exterior. If Remi got a hint of my past, she probably wouldn’t want anything to do with me. I wasn’t the stand-up guy she thought I was. I couldn’t be there for her like she deserved.

I enjoyed the feel of her in my lap, her hair surrounding us, making a cocoon I never wanted to come out of. Then her stomach rumbled.

“Pizza?” she asked softly before sliding off my lap.

“I’ll cut it,” I said, following her into the kitchen, taking the pizza slicer from her hands.

I cut perfect squares, placing them on a plate she pulled from the cupboard. I took the food into the living room and sat on the couch.

She followed, holding two bottles of beer. She sat next to me, close enough for me to feel her heat and smell the citrusy scent that seemed to follow her everywhere.

Picking up the remote, she turned on the TV, surfing until she found a movie. We ate pizza and watched TV until her head rested heavily on my shoulder.
