“We survived most our lives so far without clawing at each other. I have no doubt that we can look like we’re just friends, it wouldn’t be anything new.”

“Can we have this conversation later, when I’m not trying to have my way with you and make you come on my hand?” he whispers, leaning in and kissing my neck.

I arch my back as he moves his fingers in and out. My fingers are gripping the sheets, I bend my left knee and angle my hips toward him, so he has better access. He withdraws his hand and I hear him mumble something under his breath. He pushes himself up on the bed and hovers over me. He leans his weight on one hand, reaches over me, and into the nightside drawer. With his teeth, he rips open the condom and puts it on.

“I thought you wanted to watch me come?” I grin at him.

“I can watch you come with my cock inside you.” He settles in between my legs and a moment later, his hips move forward and he’s filling me in the most satisfying way. He pulls back slowly, then thrusts back in. He hisses as I gasp at the fullness. My hands move to his sides to guide his speed. I lift my legs and wrap them around Shaw’s lower back.

I was already close when he was fingering me, and the bright lights and weightlessness erupts quickly as he thrusts. I arch my neck, moan loudly, and then squeeze my eyes shut as I feel the excitement pulsing through my body. I feel like I just had an out-of-body experience and when I open my eyes, Shaw is staring down at me with a satisfied smile.

“You are gorgeous.” He leans down and captures my lips while his hips continue to move.

Shawand I have organized everything for the trip and we’re both excited to surprise Mason. He’s never been to the theme park before, but he’s watched all the movies and there’s no doubt that this will be fun.

Wow. I planned a trip. Not a girl's trip, or a trip designed for debauchery and craziness. This is a wholesome family trip, something to put the magic in someone else’s eyes, and not just my own. Is this what it’s like to be a parent? Is that something that I would want, down the road?

I’m excited to see Mason as he runs through the house. While I enjoy the time that Shaw and I get to spend together, it feels like there’s something that is missing—just the same. Mason has run down the hallway to his bedroom with his backpack, and a moment later he’s running into the kitchen.

“Daddy said that there are some special treats coming?” he exclaims as Shaw has come back inside the house.

He has a smile on his face that screams delight. Comes to stand beside me, leans in and whispers; “That was fun. I’ll tell you all about that interaction when Mason is distracted.” He almost kisses me, but catches himself and pulls away.

“Daddy, where are the special treats? I haven’t had any lunch yet, so I could eat whores.” Mason grins.

I fight the laughter bubbling from his mispronunciation.

“Horse, it’s you are so hungry that you can eat a horse.”

“That’s what I said,” Mason defends.

“Yeah buddy, yeah.” Shaw nods. “Well, I’ll let Summer tell you about this treat.”

Mason looks to me with anticipation.

I pull my phone out of my back pocket and search for a good photo of the park to show him. I go for the patterned flowers at the entrance. That is undeniable. I turn the phone around so he can see the image. It takes a quick moment for him to realize what he’s looking at. His eyes light up and his smile grows. He looks up at me, then over to Shaw.

“Are we going… there?” Mason asks.

“We sure are,” I say happily.

“Wait, but what are we going to eat?” Mason asks.

As Shaw and I are bringing out stuff to the car, Mason is situated on the couch with his tablet in his hands.

Shaw lingers beside the open trunk that hides us from prying children eyes and reaches for me. Before I can react, his arm wraps around my waist and he pulls me into him.

“I don’t think that I can get enough of you,” he whispers as his lips gently touch mine.

My hands go around his neck as I kiss him back.

“So, what was it that you were going to tell me?” I ask.

“Oh shit. Yeah, so I told Marie that we would be going out of town for the rest of the week and she was furious. She blew up. Started saying how she was going to take me to court for wanting to go on a small vacation. I said she was being a hypocrite for all the trips she has taken Mason on this past year. She didn’t like to be called out, so that really twisted her buttons even more. I basically had to walk away. She was still yelling when I was walking in the door.” He chuckles.

“Ah, so that is what that smile was all about. Oh well, some people see things differently than others. Smart of you to walk away, instead of letting it escalate more. She’s the one who looks like a fool for yelling at the house.” I tell him.

“Such wise words you have, woman.” Shaw kisses my cheek, then pats me on the ass, “we should probably hit the road. I don’t think Mason will be able to contain his excitement for too long.”
