“Okay, okay. So, this thing with Shaw, what?” she asks.

“We’re seeing where it all takes us.”

“I can tell, but what the heck happened after Luke and I left? Shaw was quite adamant on us leaving. He called for an Uber, then pushed us both out of the house. Were you guys getting it on like right after we left?” She asks.

“I mean, we weren’t really getting it on. We talked and then we kissed again. But we didn’t hook up or anything really, a little last night, but we were interrupted, which kind of hampered the mood a bit.” I say blushing.

“Interrupted?” she questions.

“Mason was home last night, it was the night in the week that he stays at Shaw’s, but it was late, and I was all romanticized from the bath and wine.”

“Wait, back up a second here. A bath? Wine? You are leaving some key points out of this story.”

“I had a shit day yesterday, when I got home late last night after closing, he was awake, and he drew me a bath and had a bottle of wine waiting for me. There were candles and everything, so I had a few glasses of wine, then he was passed out on the couch when I finished. When I woke up, he was still sleepy, he woke up and we ended up in his room.”

“And then you got interrupted?”

“Yes,” I nod. “He was just about to dine downtown when Mason knocked on the bedroom door,” I reply blushing.

“Holy shit, you were caught with your pants down?”

“We had the door locked, but yes.”

Well, so was any of the talk that Shaw had coming in here code for continuing to dine downtown, or was that really about food?

“It was about food, you perv.”

But that’s not to say that the texts earlier weren’t about continuing last night.
