“I feel like there’s more to you than I actually know.”
“Yeah, I want to say that’s normal for everyone.” He shrugs.
“Do you have family close by? I mean, you did say that you are from here,” I ask.
“Yeah, my parents live in Whittier, I have a little sister that lives in San Jose and works at a start-up in Silicon Valley.”
“What brought you back to Los Angeles?”
“Family.”
“Oh, like you wanted to be closer to your parents?”
“Yeah, something like that.” He shrugs, his tone seeming slightly off at the topic.
For some reason, I feel like there’s something else that he’s not telling me.
