“I love you too,” she admitted, and on her words, they both staggered as the mate bond snapped fully into place.

Poseidon nearly shifted back to Jase to drag her home to bed but just restrained himself.

“Wow,” Willow said in wonderment.

“That’s beautiful,” Poseidon said as he studied the bond between them. His Sins poked at it but backed away when they understood how strong it was. Poseidon noted how afraid they seemed of it and made a note. Unlike Vladimir’s Sins with Emmaline, his didn’t seem interested in taking over Willow.

“Shall we go home now?” Willow asked hopefully. Even her voice sounded different, he noted.

“I can’t leave them to clean up, it’s rude,” Poseidon said.

“Brother, go. If you think we don’t realise what just happened, you’re a fool,” Loch Ness said.

“I’m not arguing with that,” Poseidon said, grabbed Willow’s hand, and called for Mary. Ten minutes later he and Willow were in their human forms and Jase was buried deep inside her. Heaven!

Willow

“Your goons failed twice, Mr Sandstream,” Willow called out as a man passed her by.

“Pardon?” he asked, looking confused at her.

“The goons you send to kill me, so I didn’t expose Stream Inc to the public for their toxins waste dumping,” Willow continued.

“Young lady, that amounts to slander,” Mr Sandstream snapped. His eyes darted around as people began to stop and listen.

Willow wasn’t exactly being quiet.

“So you didn’t send men on yachts to kill me? Then why was there evidence of you being on board, and then the money trail from their accounts leads to you? Plus, I have footage of your ships dumping cans over the side of cargo ships. Would you like to see?” Willow demanded.

“Shut up!” Mr Sandstream said. “You’re nothing but some hyped up fraud.”

“Yeah, that doesn’t work,” Willow said and clicked a remote in her pocket.

All around her tv screens jumped as Sphinx hacked into them. Raw footage of Sandstream ships, their names and logos clear to see filled the screens. Men were seen throwing large gallon toxic barrels, all clearly labelled into the sea. Not just on one ship but on a great many. Then there was the footage of the three ships chasing Willow and shooting at her in The Swallow’s Nest as a great storm headed in behind them.

“The money trail, burner phone calls, and emails are everything the police need to arrest you. I won Mr Sandstream,” Willow said, and police appeared and arrested him.

Willow had asked to be allowed to confront him, and the police had agreed. After all, Jase had donated a large amount of money for her to do so.

“Due to your murderous attack on me, I’ll make sure they have all the evidence they need,” Willow promised as he was carted away.

“Okay?” Jase asked in her ear.

“Yes, that was great!” Willow exclaimed, jumping in her car to head back to her yacht.

“See you soon, babe,” Jase promised.

Her car door opened, and Jase got in the passenger side. He wore a baseball cap and dark glasses and had a beard.

“I knew you wouldn’t let me come alone!” Willow crowed and pointed a finger at him.

“You’re pregnant. Of course I wouldn’t!” Jase confirmed.

It was hardly a surprise to Willow that five weeks after they’d completed their mate bond; she had missed a period. She’d never bothered with birth control because she hadn’t wanted to have a relationship.

Jase had teased Vladimir that Emmaline only carried one while Willow, according to the sea life, had three.

“We need to head straight home,” Jase said after giving her a kiss.
