"You want me to send some of my men with you?" I asked.
Jake smirked at me. "I have my own men."
I just bet he did. Jake D'Amato didn't go anywhere without protection. He was way too smart for that. And very, very rich. It would be stupid for him to go anywhere without security protection, and I had never known Jake to be stupid.
I waited until Jake left the room before giving Delancy's shoulders a gentle squeeze. "Close down your computer, querido. We really do need to get some rest. I have a feeling tomorrow is going to be insane."
"Give me just a minute." Delancy frantically typed away for a moment and then closed the lid on his laptop. "Okay, I'm good to go, but I need to plug this in so I can charge the battery overnight."
"Bring it with you. There's a charger in the bedroom you can hook it up to."
Delancy grabbed his laptop and jumped up from his chair. I grabbed his free hand and led him out of the study. Hugo was waiting for us just outside the door.
"We are going to need another guestroom made up for Delancy's grandfather. He decided to stay the night as well. I'd also set up drinks for them in the small living room for after dinner."
"Of course, Jefe."
"Delancy and I are headed up to our room. If there are any problems, let me know."
"Yes, Jefe."
"And I want four guards on Hernandez around the clock. That man hasn't gotten to be one of the best killers on my grandfather's payroll by being stupid."
"Understood, Jefe."
I tugged on Delancy's hand and pulled him down the corridor and up the stairs to the second floor where our master suite was located. Once we were inside, I locked the door and then gestured across the room to a small desk. "There's a plug-in over there."
While Delancy plugged in his laptop, I walked into the bathroom and turned on the shower to warm up the water. Delancy walked in just as I started stripping my clothes off and tossing them in the hamper.
Delancy smiled as he started stripping off his own clothes as well. His eyes never left me, turning into molten lava as they looked me up and down.
We watched each other until we were naked and then I took Delancy's hand and drew him into the large shower.
"Should we be doing this?" Delancy asked. "We do have guests. Shouldn't we be...I don't know, downstairs entertaining them?"
"Hugo can entertain them," I assured him as I reached for a washrag and the soap. "After the day we've had, we deserve a little alone time."
I knew I certainly needed it.
I took my time lathering Delancy up, making sure I reached every nook and cranny. Not only did I want to make sure he was all cleaned up but touching him was a true delight. Especially when I saw the effects of my ministrations on his body.
"Rinse off, querido."
While Delancy rinsed off, I quickly scrubbed myself up and then did the same. I turned off the water and stepped out of the shower, reaching for a towel. I barely took the time to dry us both off before picking Delancy up in my arms and carrying him back into the bedroom.
I tossed Delancy into the middle of the mattress and then grabbed the tube of lube we had taken to keeping under the pillow.
I climbed onto the bed and settled myself carefully between Delancy's legs. After they day he'd had he didn't need some raving lunatic claiming him. He needed love and care and gentle handling.
I kept that in mind as I began to slowly kiss him. I slanted my mouth over Delancy's, trying my best to devour him. I wasn't about to lose the chance to taste heaven. I slid my hands up him sides and then wrapped them around him, pulling his body closer.
Delancy opened his mouth, allowing me to do whatever the hell I wanted. I licked at Delancy's lips, nibbled at them, drew his tongue into my mouth, sucking at it.
Delancy whimpered when I pulled back from him. I wanted to go on kissing my husband, but I had other plans for Delancy.
"Besarte es como ver las estrellas," I whispered against Delancy's heated skin, lavishing the area between his collarbone and the underside of his jaw line. "Estoy loco por usted."
I licked a line from Delancy's chin down to his nipple. Delancy's needy moan, the little shudder that shook his body, both actions enflamed me, driving me to distraction. "You have no idea how much I want you, how long I've waited for someone like you."
