“No, he hasn’t,” I corrected.

“—and I’m not going to stop just because you think I should call him something different.”

“Well, I’m calling him the Termi-tator, and you can’t stop me.”

“They’re both ridiculous names!” I snapped, getting pissed off more and more with every second that passed.

“Clearly, you don’t understand the beauty of the name,” Fox grinned.

“Obviously, he does. That’s why he’s pissed.”

“Are we really going to do this again?” Fox asked. “You know, I searched for you. I was the only one who didn’t think you were dead, and this is how you repay me?”

I pinched the bridge of my nose as the arguing continued. The number of clearly and obviously sentences thrown out was too much to take. I slipped into my shoes, tying them in record time, then grabbed my wallet and shoved it in my pocket. Rae handed me my gun and holster, and they were still arguing.

“Should we just leave?”

Rae nodded. “This could go on for another hour.”

“Clearly, you’ve never spent a whole day with them in the ocean.”

“Are you ready for this?” Snatch asked as we walked up the steps to the mansion. “You’ve got everything?”

“This isn’t my first job,” I said through a smile. I nodded at the host, shaking his hand lightly as his eyes roamed over my chest even with his wife standing right beside him.

“I don’t believe I caught your name,” he grinned.

“Penny.”

“Penny. What a beautiful name.”

My eyes flicked to his wife. She flushed bright red, obviously uncomfortable, yet he didn’t seem to notice. I pried my hand from his grip, brushing his touch from my skin.

“I’m Sir Henry Allsebrook, and this is my wife, Eleanor.”

“It’s very nice to meet you.” I smiled as politely as possible in front of her scumbag husband. “You have a very nice home.”

“It’s been in the family for two generations,” Henry beamed. “My father bought it years ago.”

I tuned him out as Snatch held out his hand to Eleanor. “David Clark,” he introduced himself.

I wasn’t sure if that was his real name or not. I’d only ever known him as Snatch. “It was very nice to meet you,” I said, shoving Snatch through the doorway to allow others in as well.

“Did you see the way that guy was eyeing you?” Snatch whispered.

“See it? I can still feel the slime on my skin.”

“He’s going to be a problem. We’re going to have to take him out.”

I pulled him aside, keeping my voice low. “We’re not taking anyone out. That wasn’t part of the plan.”

“I’m making it part of the plan. His eyes haven’t left you since we entered the house. I wouldn’t be surprised if he follows you around, which will make it pretty damn hard to do the job.”

I smiled as a couple walked past, then glared at Snatch. “I’ll get rid of him. He won’t be a problem.”
