There were so many questions flowing through my muddled brain. Like, why had they knocked me out? Was it really necessary to knock me out to get me on the plane? And most importantly, why the fuck had they knocked me out?
Okay, so it was really one big question, but it still didn’t make sense to me. I was already planning on going to see Wren. It’s not like they had to kidnap me to get me on the plane.
I did a double take as I saw Edu nodding and grinning at me. It was weird.
“So,” he said.
“So?”
He rolled his eyes. “Well, you can thank me at any time.”
“For what?”
He scoffed out a laugh. “It was me. The brilliant mastermind who drugged Lock and Scottie for you.”
“I thought that was Juliette.”
He frowned, “Well, someone had to haul their asses down the stairs and onto the plane. And I flew the plane home.”
“Cash told me IKE was there.”
“He commandeered our plane,” Edu grumbled.
“So, I really have him to thank for getting everyone home.”
“I was there!”
“Alright. Calm down. So, you were there. Thank you for…being there.”
I was totally fucking with him. He helped me out a lot, even if the whole thing turned to shit. I leaned forward and clapped him on the knee. “Seriously, if you hadn’t been there to be the muscle, I’m sure Fox would have done it for you.”
“You know what? I don’t think I want to come on this plane ride.”
“I didn’t ask you to.”
“I was rooting for you, man.”
I rolled my eyes at him. “You wanted to win the bet.”
His face flushed red and he pushed up from his seat. “I don’t have to take this.”
He stomped off and I turned to watch him leave, frowning when I saw the number of people on this plane ride. “Dash?”
“Yeah?”
“A few questions…”
“You’re wondering why I’m here.”
“No,” I said slowly. “I get why you’re here.”
“You want to know what the plan is.”
“I already have a plan.”
“You’re wondering how long until we land.”
I gritted my teeth in irritation. “I’m wondering why the fuck you guys knocked me out.”
