“How are you alive?” Ryan snapped, his voice cracking. He couldn’t keep his fear at bay for much longer, and this was absolute madness. “What the fucking fuck are you?”

“I’m extremely rich, very charming, and still totes DTF.” Ormenus grinned. “Oh, and I may not be human, so there’s that.”

An anxious laugh bubbled out from the back of Ryan’s throat.

He’d just murdered Ormenus, and Ormenus still wanted to have sex with him.

“Not human.” Ryan huffed, wishing his voice sounded more confident. “Great. Could have led with that.”

“A lady is allowed to have some mystery, thank you.” Ormenus put his hand on the wall above Ryan’s shoulder and leaned in close. “And what about you? Hmm? This isn’t your first time killing someone, sweetheart.”

Ryan licked his lips. “What gave me away?”

“The precise aim right into my heart was sort of a clue. And very impressive.” Ormenus winked. “Definitely not your first time.”

“What can I say?” Ryan feigned a smile. “I have many skills.”

He was going to die.

This was it.

It wasn’t going to be his father or some sort of horrible accident. He was certain this was it for him, killed by a man he’d already left on the floor, dead and cold.

Ironic.

He hated knowing that he’d be leaving his sister alone, but…

There wasn’t much he could do against whatever the hell Ormenus was.

“It’s the carnal ones I’m most interested in.” Ormenus crooked a finger toward him. “Come on, sweetheart. I expect your performance to be spectacular.”

The room suddenly vanished, and they were now standing in a massive bedroom with a roaring fireplace and a plush bed. Ryan’s clothes, along with his knife, had disappeared and been replaced by a sheer black robe.

Ormenus was wearing black silk pajamas, still sipping his vodka. He smirked. “Show me that you’re worth ten grand.”

“Let’s not fuck around, okay?” Ryan scoffed, too alarmed by the obvious danger to be impressed by Ormenus’s powers. “You’re not letting me leave here alive. Why would I need ten grand?”

“As long as you give me what I want, what reason would I have to kill you?” Ormenus chuckled. “Oh, what? You think you’re the first person to try and murder me? Sorry, sweetheart. Popped that cherry centuries ago. I don’t take it quite as personally as most people would.”

“Wow, uh…” Ryan laughed, a sound both manic and equally relieved. “You’re really something.”

“One of a kind, I promise you.”

“Okay. Fine.” Ryan stood taller.

Magical death-defying powers or not, Ormenus was still a john, and Ryan could do this. He could get back home to his sister, safe and sound. As long as he pleased Ormenus, there was a very good chance he might survive this.

Unless Ormenus was like him and was waiting to get the fun part out of the way first.

He tried not to think that way.

“For that kind of money, you can do anything you want except tie me up,” Ryan went on. “And I believe the daddy thing has been covered.”

“The daddy thing will be readdressed at a later time.”

“Or we can just drop it.”

“Or I can just kill you.” Ormenus grinned. “Choices, Ryan!”
