Morgan came back over and launched herself at me, and I had to think fast and catch her quick. She leaned up, clearly expecting me to bend down. And when I did, she gave me a raspberry. A wet, slobbery raspberry. Then she jumped down and gave me a wink. "Thanks, big bro. I appreciate the rescue."

Before I knew it, she was skipping off to a guest room. She picked the one next to Micah, because apparently, she was going to Morse Code him some of the pages of the books they were reading so that he could hurry up and get to the good part.

Whatever that meant.

When I turned my gaze to my wife, she had tears in her eyes. "You invited her to come live with us?"

I shrugged. "For as long or as little as she wants. I didn't know how you were going to feel about that, but I figured it would make you happy. You love having her around. You worry about her. It's cool. And this way, you can keep an eye on her comings and goings."

"How bad was it?" Her voice was soft when she asked.

"Nothing I couldn't handle. And Morgan was handling it pretty great herself. Surprisingly, it was Lance who didn’t handle it well. He threatened to kill the guy."

Gwen winced and sat up straighter. "Oh, shit. That doesn’t sound like Lance."

"It's fine. I didn't let him kill anyone."

"Well, I appreciate that, because had it been you, you might have killed him."

"Lance seems very protective of your little sister."

Her gaze landed on mine and held. "So, you're thinking what I'm thinking?"

I shrugged. "Yeah, I’m thinking he has a thing for her. He feels weird about it because she's still so young."

"I feel a little weird about it too, but it's like a tangible thing in the air. Like when they're in the room together, you can feel that crackle. I don't think it's avoidable, but we'll stay out of it."

"Okay," I said, climbing over the back of the couch to join her after I took off my shoes.

She was smashed underneath me, and she giggled. "Atticus Price, we now have an impressionable young mind in the house. We need to be a little bit more careful."

"Well, do you even know what kind of dirty shit Micah and your sister are reading? There's a werewolf, and he's in love with a vampire. He plays hockey. I don't know what that has to do with anything, but apparently, there are spicy parts. And she recommended the book to him. Honestly, I am traumatized. If I had pearls, I would clutch them. I don't think either one of them is going to care, but I'm going to finger my wife on this couch right now."

Gwen's gasp was soft. "Who said you could finger me? You didn’t let me go get my sister."

My hand reached under the blanket and traced up her thigh. She was wearing shorts. Apparently, she'd lost the sweatpants after I left and was back in those little shorts that hugged her ass just so.

"You know the words to say to make me stop."

She squirmed beneath me, lifting her hips, trying to guide my fingers where they already wanted to go.

"You don't need to do that, Ness; I know the way." I nuzzled her neck and nipped, finding her sweet pussy and tracing a thumb over her clit. "See? I told you I knew my way."

She groaned. "Atticus..."

"Say the word if you want me to stop."

"Morgan is going to catch us."

"I think your sister is smart enough to know that if you are on the couch and we're in the same room together, that she should make lots of noise before coming back out."

I waited for her to say no. But when she rolled her hips against my thumb again, my fingers dipped under her shorts and found her sweet pussy wet and slick.

"Fuck. I love how you're always ready for me."

"This is hardly fair,” she muttered.

"Who said I was playing fair? Are you still mad at me?"
