“I’m going upstairs. Get some sleep.”

“Yeah.”

I’m about to leave when she grabs me and kisses me. I respond intensely, deepening the kiss. Taking possession of her tongue. Digging my fingers into her ass, pulling her close. She moans into my lips, pushes me away, gasping for air. Flushed.

“Wow,” she whispers. “I have to go.”

“I want you to stay.”

Grey eyes look at me. “Um…it’s been a long night.”

“I mean here in Georgia.”

“That’s what I thought you meant.” A nervous laugh. “We just met!”

“I don’t give a shit. I wish I’d met you sooner. You’re supposed to be leaving soon and I can’t stand the thought of that. I want you to stay.” I pull her against my body, not caring that I’m hard as a rock and I’m sure she can feel it. “Stay here in Georgia, Willow. Be with me. See if you like it.”

She glances down. “I know I’d like it, but…”

“But what?” Ben asks, “I’m not officially divorced? I’ve got a son? My mom just freaked you out? Your dog isn’t here? You have a job you’ve gotta get back to?”

I laugh a little. “Well…yeah.”

“That’s nothing,” he grins.

“I just…need some time.” I want you right now. All of you. It’s overwhelming. “I need time to think.”

“Thinking is overrated.”

“It is, huh?”

“Yeah. It is.” His smirk is so sexy.

I give him a little kiss, but it grows fast into amazing. Pulling away from him I whisper against my every desire, “I’m going inside.”

“Sleep with me on your mind.”

“No other way,” I smile, holding his hand as I walk away until distance breaks the lock of our fingers.

“Come back to my place. We’ll just sleep.”

“It’s not my bed.”

“I’ll get a new bed.”

“Tonight?” I laugh, adding a quiet, “Goodnight Ben. I really am happy for you.”

“It’s been quite a night.” As I open the front door, he says, “I don’t want to leave.”

And I don’t want to, either.

But I’m being smart.

I need to be.
