Skylar damn near slapped herself in the face to wipe her mouth. There was no cum on her face. Amazing how Muffin never liked to fuck and tell.

Or get sucked off and tell.

Skylar went to work, pouring Linc a cup of coffee. Slade and Darrow soon joined Linc. The three outlaws sat there in silence with their minds racing in thought. When Cyrus came walking from the hallway, all it took was one nod to Linc.

“Time to pray, brothers,” Linc said. “Today’s the day.”

Linc pushed from the bar and followed Cyrus into their prayer room. For some reason Linc caught himself looking at Nico’s chair. The always empty chair at the table. He stepped up to that empty chair and touched it. He never really gave Nico much thought these days. It was a messy situation.

“We’re on the move today,” Cyrus said as he sat down. “Enough waiting. VP?”

“Agreed,” Linc said. “We have the intel. Let’s make a move.”

“Any idea of who shot Linc?” Slade asked.

“That’s next,” Cyrus said, pointing at Slade.

“Maybe things are connected,” Darrow said. “You know how it goes around here. Having yellow bunny in town… it smells of another crew. Angry Rattlers? Steel Streets 13?”

“It was sloppy,” Linc said. “I’d put money on Steel Streets 13.”

“That’s a whole other conversation, brother,” Cyrus said.

“I can’t see the Angry Rattlers doing it,” Slade said. “We’ve been good with them for a while now. Prez is right. One thing at a time. We’re set on this house?”

“Dead set,” Darrow said. “It’s quiet there. Whatever this is, it’s not a threat to us.”

“We ride at noon,” Cyrus said, standing back up. “I’m going to get some coffee and breakfast. Get my dick sucked. I suggest you all do the same. And tell the others. But I don’t want a crowd there. Custer and Monte can stay behind. Same with Deed. And tell Muffin to trade the apron for his leather cut while we’re gone. I want the clubhouse protected.”

“Fitz should run point here then,” Slade said.

“Yes,” Linc said. “Put him on the roof as lookout. Just in case things go south.”

“Slade, talk to Fitz,” Cyrus said. “Darrow, double check everything.”

“On it, Prez,” Darrow said.

“One other thing,” Linc said. “Let’s send Virus out with one of the prospects. Take a truck and just drive by the house.”

“Who’s our best?” Cyrus asked.

“Drix,” Darrow said. “Out of the three we have, he’s got the most to offer.”

“I second that,” Slade said.

Cyrus looked at Linc. Linc nodded.

“Done,” Cyrus said. “We figure out this yellow bunny shit today. Keep Chief Dick off our backs. Then we can find out who tried to kill our VP and cut their heads off.”

That was the end of a quick prayer. Not even a full congregation either. They all left the room to hit the bar for coffee, booze, and food. Skylar had her hands full.

Linc made sure to get two coffees before returning to his room. He placed a cup of coffee on the nightstand next to Nova and crouched down, waiting for her to wake up. Her nose wrinkled first at the smell of the coffee. She then opened her eyes and groaned.

“Morning, darling,” Linc whispered. “Coffee is hot. We should talk.”

“Is it about Nick?”

“Not exactly. Things could tie in together though.”
