I can’t wait to see what the fuck I must look like when these family photos come back.

Grace hangs back as Jolene makes her way toward Lincoln.

“That’s you, too, dear,” my mom says to Grace.

“Oh,” she says, a little flustered as she makes her way across the white aisle runner to take her place beside me.

She slides into the little slot open for her, and I wrap my hand around her hip, pulling her toward me.

I know she feels my erection on her ass. It would be impossible to miss it.

She doesn’t respond, though. She doesn’t twitch or move away.

And then, just as the photographer tells us to smile, she shifts. It’s infinitesimally, but it’s in my direction, and it’s enough for me to know she’s acknowledging what’s digging into her ass…enough for me to know she wants it, too.

The wedding’s about to start, though. I can’t duck out on my usher duties any more than she can duck out on sitting beside my mother as we’re dismissed from the photos. I shoot her a longing gaze as I watch her settle into the row where my mom will join her in twenty minutes or so, and when I find her eyes on mine, and I see the same look of need in them that’s reflected back from me…

I know tonight’s going to be our night.

Chapter 28: Grace Nash

This Group Means Business When It Comes to Partying

Four Days After the Wedding

It’s hot in here.

Only…

In here is actually outside, and it’s early May, but it’s Vegas, which means hot temps. I’m wearing a dress, which is comfortable in the heat, and there are coolers strategically placed around the yard to ensure guests are comfortable. So it’s not so much that it’s hot out here versus Spencer’s hot, and I’m…needy.

Okay, that’s my nice way of saying I’m horny as hell, and something changed for Spencer because he’s looking at me like he’s horny, too, and I get the very strong inclination that he’s going to act on it.

God, I hope he acts on it.

I need him to take care of the ache that’s been steadily pulsing between my legs for days—the one that’s only intensified in strength every second I spend with this man.

Maybe it’s me in a dress, or maybe it’s him in a tux. Maybe it’s because he swooped in like some superhero to save me last night from that creepy dude who cornered me, and he made me feel safe and protected.

Maybe it’s the fact that we’re married now.

The bonus side of Spencer being an usher is that once he seats the last guest, he takes his seat—beside me.

He slides into his seat just a smidgen closer to me than he needs to sit. Maybe he’s putting on the act for the guests gathered here, but something tells me it’s more than that. This is the first interaction we’ve had with each other since that searing gaze he gave me when he was up on the altar and I was hanging back near the rows of chairs, and he takes my hand in his.

The connection is somehow endearing and sexy at the same time. My hand tingles where it meets his, and this simple act of hand holding suddenly feels like it means a lot more.

Grayson walks with his mom down the aisle, and he drops her off at our row, which from the far end of the row includes me, Spencer, Asher, Eddie, and Missy.

Grayson and Ava wanted to keep the wedding simple, so it’s a small wedding party. Beckett walks Kelly down the aisle, and then the music changes and the guests gathered stand to welcome the bride.

The doors open, and Missy was right.

The belt is a nice touch.

Ava looks gorgeous in the dress I never should’ve touched. It was clearly made for her.

She has tunnel vision on her soon-to-be husband as she walks down the aisle.
