Before drifting off to sleep, I take a moment to realize how comfortable I am nestled between the three of them. It may not be the Earth way, but it feels so good, and somehow, I know it’s going to be our way.

Two Days Later

Everything is going great, better than I could have ever imagined. I’m getting to know the three of them, and our bond is strengthening.

Bastian, Moak, and Serkan are integrating my guys into the crew, making them feel like they belong.

Tia has been showing me some of her favorite places in the holographic chamber. Secretly, we’ve been working on a project, which is finished now. I can’t wait to show the guys.

Finding Zeno in the galley (or kitchen, as I call it), I grin and take his hand. “Come on, I want to show you something.”

He looks at me suspiciously, slowly rising to his feet.

“Tell Tekil and Vi’del to meet us outside.”

“What are you up to, Myla?” His lips tip upward and I see the intrigue on his face.

“You’ll see. Are they coming?”

He nods. “They are on their way.”

Over the past two days, I’ve noticed that Zeno is the most ruthless, but always very gentle with me. Unless it’s during sex; then he’s dominant, always demanding what he wants.

Vi’del is somewhere in the middle. He can be ruthless, but he’s a bit softer than Zeno; he always makes sure my needs come before his.

Tekil meanwhile is my teddy bear, even with his hard body. He’s a thinker, always playing scenarios in his head.

We’re standing in the corridor, waiting on the other two, when I ask, “Have you heard anything about Andred and his team?”

Zeno sighs. “No. They are here, but they refuse to join us or even the others. It seems they are not interested in living with us on Taugon.”

“That’s stupid. You’re not the same as the guy on Kintuke that you were cloned from. I don’t understand why Andred would hold onto his hatred. I mean really, it never happened! Not for him or any of you; you’ve only just begun to live.”

“I know. But he refuses to let go of past grudges. I hope in time he will see that it is best.” He pauses. “And if he doesn’t, and he tries to do anyone harm—we will kill him.”

“I hope it doesn’t come to that…”

Zeno shrugs as though it’s no big deal.

I know sometimes bad things happen, but I really hope it doesn’t come to that. Andred needs to realize that he has a chance for a different life, a fresh start…a new beginning. Kintue rules do not apply on Taugon.

Myla

Practically dragging the guys down the corridor, I’m so excited for them to see what I have in store.

Tia (who has been a godsend), helped me with this surprise. Living her entire life on a space station, she never created a version of ‘home’ for herself. She told me her Father wasn’t worth it and her guys had already seen his office, even met him in person, and there was no need for anything further. I can tell there’s no love lost between the two of them.

But she understood why I wanted my guys to see my home, so she helped me create the holographic version of it. I’m so excited to show them!

It was easy to keep it a surprise; the guys were always off doing something with Tia’s men, leaving us a lot of time to get to know each other. Her flamboyant attitude and the way she ignores anyone who might dare to judge has quickly made her my hero. She also helped me come out of my shell—which I never realized I had, until I let go of my self-imposed limitations.

“Where are you taking us?” Vi’del asks as he lazily ambles along behind me.

I shoot him a grin over my shoulder. “You’ll see.”
