“I want you to come again,” he muttered, reaching down to suck on my earlobe. “And I want to watch.”

My muscles seized up, my hand slipping from the headboard, and I desperately tried to reach back for it. It was unfair—all of it. The way he twisted me for his own amusement. It was unfair and so incredibly hot, I could feel my peak coming, so close, I could taste it.

“Adam—” I buckled underneath him. “I—I—”

“Come for me.” He gripped my waist, holding me like he never wanted to let me go.

“God—Adam!”

The orgasm ripped through me, harder and faster than the last one, and he kissed me again. I couldn’t breathe. The moment he pulled away, I gulped in breaths, the orgasm breaking me in half as his grip tightened, watching me.

With a final thrust, his eyebrows furrowed, his jaw set. Heavy breaths escaped him. He was so beautiful. I could’ve watched him come forever.

He took my face in his hand and kissed me again, hard. Slowly, he pressed his forehead to mine, searching my face, more put together than I was by a long shot.

How is he still moving?

Adam thumped onto the bed next to me and the post-orgasm shivers took hold of me. I squeezed my eyes shut, fisting the blankets between my fingers. When will I come down from this?

I was too surprised when Adam wrapped an arm around my waist and pressed his face against the crook of my neck. There was no way I would be going for a round two. My body was too sensitive. But he wasn’t running his hands over me again, trying to get me in the mood.

Adam’s breathing evened, his breath cool against the nape of my neck.

Is he…cuddling me?

Chewing my lip, I glanced over to the open door. I needed to leave his bedroom before I fell asleep. After that, my eyelids were so heavy, it was hard to pry them open.

I shifted to the side, trying to ease out, but Adam tightened his hold on me.

“Adam?” I whispered.

“Hm?” His voice was husky and sleepy as he leaned forward to press the lightest kiss against my neck. I shivered.

No. Focus.

“Adam, I need to get going.”

“Stay the night,” he murmured.

“Um…” What do I say to that? “You don’t let people stay the night.”

“You’re not people, ice princess.”

I started to say something else, but it flew out of my head when his fingers stroked my side and his breathing evened again. Adam was actually falling asleep, holding me. And the moment he crashed, there was no way I could’ve dipped out.

“Adam, I need to leave before anybody sees me,” I tried again.

His fingers stilled. “Please.”

I froze. “What?”

“Stay. Please.”

Oh.

Gently, I raised my hand, running my fingers through his reddish-brown hair, trying to figure out how to say exactly what I wanted to say. Adam’s breathing hitched against my throat and a pleased sigh escaped him.

It wasn’t like I didn’t want to. That would be the easy choice, snuggling down underneath him and letting Adam bear hug me to sleep. Pretending like it was just the two of us and nothing else mattered. Not the responsibilities on both sides or the fact that I couldn’t be the only warming his bed.
