“Hey, Lauren! Can we get two Cokes?” Adam asked, butting in as usual.

“Thirsty, Rockstar?”

The smirk on Michael’s face clued me in that we didn’t want to know what he was referring to. So the best option was to press on. “And I’ll have water with lemon.”

“Make it two,” Cole added.

She nodded and smiled. “I’ll be right back with those.”

As she walked away, I put down my menu.

“So, I hear we have something to celebrate. Welcome to EHM, man. We’re gonna have a blast with these two.”

I grinned. “I understand I have you to thank for this job offer.”

“I guess. All I did was mention it to GQ when we got back. The crowds are growing, and if they recognize you, maybe that’ll slow them down getting to the guys.”

Lauren returned with our drinks and sat them in front of us.

“Is Alejandro around? Or Ben?” Michael asked.

“No. He and Ben are in Hawaii.”

Cole looked shocked. “What? When did that happen?”

“Hmm…about three years ago. And don’t quote me, but they might not come back single.”

“Oh my god! That is so cool! I guess we’ll have to wait to tell them we bought a beach house in Cali, He-Man.”

I looked at Cole. “Maybe we should buy a vacation home we can run off to. They have one now. Alex and Christian have one in Cannon Beach, and Jackson and Simon have one in Amber Falls, Colorado. We need to find one.”

“Ben and Alejandro have one in Big Bear, too,” Lauren added.

Cole grinned at me. “And Cooper and Greg have the Keys. I guess we better find something before Dom and Jesse do. We wouldn’t want to be the last ones to own a vacation home.”

Michael snorted. “Too late, my friends. They bought a villa in Italy last summer when they were there. GQ has pictures all over his office.”

I wrapped my arm around Cole’s chair. He stiffened a moment before his eyes went soft and he leaned toward me. “I guess we better find ours soon. I’m thinking Canada, so these freeloaders can’t bust in all the time.”

“There’s my unfiltered Patrick.”

We gave Lauren our order, and she left to put it into the computer for the kitchen.

Michael reached into his pocket and pulled out a key fob we both recognized. “Here ya go, before I forget. We can go with you again if you want us to.”

I looked at Cole, who sat shoulder-to-shoulder with me at the table. “I think we’ve got it this time. We’re working on putting all that behind us and moving forward.”

Adam reached out and put his hand on my cast. “I’m really happy for you guys.”

“We are too. I wish I’d gone to someone a long time ago. I’ll tell you guys more when we’re not so public.”

Before our food came out, a young woman approached our table. “I’m sorry to bother you, but can I get a selfie with you guys? I’m a huge Pirates fan, and I love Fallen Angel. I promise, just one, and I’ll leave you alone.”

Lauren came back with our food and gave Michael a look. He held up his hand and nodded. “You guys okay with a selfie?”

We weren’t hiding, but we weren’t yelling it on the corner, either.

“Sure,” I said, leaning toward Cole, who put his arm over my shoulders. I’m sure we looked like the couple we were.
