“Very well then, my secretary will give you the address on your way out.”

Blake and Bassem both rose to their feet. Blake bid the sheikh farewell before she headed for the door. She stopped by his secretary’s desk which was located outside his office. Amina gave her the address to the site where Bassem wanted to build his house.

When Blake was in her car, she keyed the address into the navigator. She stuck the key into the ignition and pulled away from the parking lot. The site was about a fifteen-minute drive from the sheikh’s office. Bassem had bought his land in an affluent part of Austin.

The next morning it was Blake’s turn to barge into CJ’s office. She made sure she didn’t have a client before she walked in. “Morning, Cora,” she said with a cheerful smile. CJ frowned at her.

“Only Michaela and my mom seem to enjoy calling me Cora,” she replied as she leaned back into her chair. Blake grinned. She only called her by her first name when she wanted to annoy her. CJ didn’t like her first name because she was named after her aunt whom she didn’t get along with.

“I have figured out why the sheikh was ignoring the time we spent together.” Blake plonked herself in the chair at CJ’s desk. CJ’s eyes widened.

“You confronted him about it! What did he say?”

“I didn’t have to confront him.”

“Then what?” CJ frowned.

“I walked into his office and saw him there with his brother. CJ, he has an identical twin brother!” Blake explained.

“What?” CJ spat out. “No way!”

“All this time his brother led me on.”

CJ started laughing. “Were they playing a trick on you?” she asked. Blake shook her head.

“Bassem didn’t know about it. Basil; that’s the brother’s name, he was laughing about it. Come to think of it, he didn’t offer an explanation. He just said that it was funny,” said Blake.

CJ crossed her arms over her chest. “He seems to be playful and cheeky. That is the opposite of Bassem. What did Bassem even say about it?” she replied.

“He laughed and said his brother was up to no good again.”

“He wasn’t angry about it?”

“No, he wasn’t. It was my first time seeing him laugh.” Blake sighed. “He’s just so serious.”

CJ raised her eyebrows. “So are you,” she said.

“Excuse me?”

“You can be quite serious.”

“Can be but not always.”

CJ narrowed her gaze at her. “You know how uptight you are. You and Bassem actually suit. You’re similar.” CJ started stroking her chin as if she was deeply thinking about it. Blake raised an eyebrow.

“How are we similar?” Blake asked.

“You’re both perfectionists.”

“That’s only one thing we have in common. It doesn’t mean that we are similar.”

“You’re both serious and uptight.”

Blake rolled her eyes. “Okay, Cora.” She rose to her feet. She turned and headed towards the exit. She slowly headed back to her office. She knew that she and Bassem didn’t suit. CJ was just being mischievous as always. However, CJ was right about her being uptight. She wasn’t as free-spirited as CJ was. She didn’t know to just let go and have some fun. She needed CJ for that. CJ was always prompting her to relax and have more fun. She was the life of the party not Blake.

Blake walked into her office and shut the door behind her. She needed to do the expense report for the sheikh. He wanted her to give him an estimated budget for the entire project. To do that, she had to compile a list of materials needed to build the entire house and calculate how much they would cost. She also needed to find builders and engineers, and calculate how much their services were going to cost.
