“Oh my God! Congratulations, girl.”

“Thank you!”

“I had forgotten that you were doing it today.”

“You have your hands full with the prince,” said Gloria. Fiona sighed heavily. “Was he that bad?”

“It was nothing that I couldn’t handle,” Fiona replied honestly. He was a little abrupt with her but she had expected worse. Either he wasn’t that bad or he was just getting warmed up. Either way she had to brace herself and prepare for whatever it was that was going to happen.

“What does he look like?” she asked.

“Oh Gloria, he is so handsome.”

Gloria let out a squeak before she burst into laughter. “That’s why you are saying that it wasn’t more than you could handle,” she said. Fiona laughed softly.

“He was rude and tried to pay me off. It’s just a shame to see a handsome man with a horrible personality.”

“It’s always like that.”

“It is but in this case, it is magnified because of the accident. It’s not easy to be wheelchair bound especially for someone that has had everything they desired in life. Such an accident messes with your mental state,” she said. She felt bad for him because of their earlier conversation. He had said that there was no difference between being deadand being in a wheelchair. That was sad for her to hear.

“I guess so. It really sucks,” said Gloria. “Have you seen the king and queen yet?”

“Speaking of that.” Fiona sighed and told Gloria how she had met them. Gloria couldn’t help but laugh at Fiona.

“You always get caught up in the most awkward situations.”

“Tell me about it.”

“Hang in there; it is just your first day. It might be different tomorrow. It might be better,” she said.

“Or worse,” Fiona countered.

“Don’t be negative.”

“I’m not being negative. I just want to be prepared for whatever happens.”

“I get it.”

Fiona jumped off the bed. “Let me give you a tour,” she said. She switched the camera on and activated a video call. She showed Gloria the bedroom she was staying in. It was three times bigger than her room in the Bronx. The bed was king sized. It had a nice wooden headboard and so many pillows on it. Her bed in the Bronx was a single bed.

The room had nice wooden floors and a high ceiling. The bathroom was also big. It had both a shower and a tub. It was as if Fiona was staying in a hotel. There was a large comfortable sitting area outside her room. The sitting area was a communal one for her room and other guest rooms. There was also a communal dining room and balcony. However, there were no other guests currently staying in the Nuha wing.

“That place is so amazing,” said Gloria.

“It really is. I still find it hard to believe that I am actually here. This is so unreal,” Fiona replied.

“Make sure you take photos when you can and send them to me.”

Fiona laughed. That was the same request her sister had made. “I will,” Fiona replied.

“Stay out of trouble,” she said. Fiona smiled.

“I will try, bye.” She hung up the phone with a smile. It was always great for her to speak to her best friend. They talked about everything. There were no secrets between them.

Fiona was woken up by her alarm the next morning. She got out of bed and went to take a shower. She ate her breakfast before she headed off to Daniel’s quarters. She made sure to take a maid with her. As they were heading over, she paid extra attention on the route so that she would not get lost again. The last thing she wanted was to end up at the king’s quarters again.
