Kiro rose to his feet and bowed to his father before he left the room. He headed out of the office and took a right turn. He was going to his parents’ bedroom. He walked through the arched doorway and into the seating area outside his parents’ bedroom. There were maids there cleaning the area. They greeted him with deep bows.
“Is the queen awake?” he asked them.
“Yes she is, your highness,” one of the maids replied. She knocked on the bedroom door. “The crown prince is here to see you,” she said.
“My son is here?” the queen cried out. She burst out of the bedroom moments later. “Kiro!” his mother said joyfully before she wrapped her arms around him.
“Hello, Mother,” he said to her.
“I am delighted to see you.”
Kiro smiled at her. “How have you been?” he asked.
“Apart from missing you, I have been well.”
“I will try to come home more often.”
“It’s good that you are home this weekend. I have a nice young lady that I would like you to meet. I think you will really like her,” she said with a big smile on her face. Kiro raised his eyebrows. He felt weird about meeting a woman that his mother intended for him to marry when he was in town with Emma.
