“Wait.” Emma took her shoes off and held them by the straps in her left hand. She grabbed Kiro’s left hand with her right and started running back towards the house. Kiro was surprised but he didn’t pull away. He just held her hand tightly and ran back to the house with her.
Emma giggled as she wiped her feet on the mat at the entrance of the living room. Kiro slid the doors shut behind them.
“I didn’t think it was going to rain today,” she said to him. She ran her hand through her wet hair.
“You’re wet,” he said to her.
“So are you.”
“We need to get you changed. I can’t let you sit around in wet clothes.”
“You happen to have female clothes stashed somewhere?”
“No, but you can wear mine.”
