“Signore Chito says you should have some rest at the hotel. He’ll meet you later in the evening.”

“Alright. That's fine.”

He returns his gaze to the road and starts to drive. The tinted glasses offer a chilled view of the beautiful city of La Paz. High-rise buildings with smaller, colorful houses dot the city. The driver stops at the Ocean Sky Suites, a thirty-minute drive from the airport. The exterior design is striking, with beautifully colored flowers and a fountain. It has an outdoor pool and several oak trees.

“We are here,” the driver says with a smile as he stops the car. I get out of the car, staring at the hotel. It’s fucking huge, just the way I like it.

“Signore Chito had everything sorted out. He said to enjoy your stay and have the Bolivia experience!”

A bellhop meets with me to carry my suitcase into my suite. The receptionist confirms my reservation and gives me my key card.

The hotel is decorated with several paintings as I walk to my suite. It has a large space as I step into it, with a staircase in it. The smell of roses and lavender fills the air. I take out my phone from my pocket as I step into the living area. It has a few pots of flowers by the corners, a large couch, and a flat TV.

There are a couple of other pieces of furniture, like carved wooden chairs and a round table on one side of the room. The backdoor is made of glass, giving me a clear view of nature.

A knock lands on my door almost immediately as I turn to the stairs.

I need some fucking rest already. My suitcase is by the door, where the bellhop left it.

“Who is it?” I ask, walking to my suitcase to grab my gun. No one responds. My fingers carefully tug at the lock of the suitcase to make no sound as I open it to retrieve my gun. I grab the pistol in my hand, walking closer to the door.

Another knock lands on it. The image of a lady in red lipstick and dark hair comes into view as I peep through the doorhole. I hold the gun behind me as I unlock the door.

A sexy lady dressed in a short red gown stands in front of the door. Her shiny, dark hair flows down her shoulder. The dress gives a full view of her fucking long legs. She has a smile on her face as she scans my body with her eyes moving all over me.

“Who are you?”

“Chito sent me here to keep you company.”

I look further down the hallway, but nobody’s around.

She has Latino eyes, a curvy body, and titties that would fit right into my mouth.

“He said he was going to talk to you about this.”

There has been no word from him since I arrived in La Paz. Except for all the driver had said. I’m convincing myself that this is the perfect moment to get Adriana off my head. Thoughts of her crowded my mind throughout the flight.

I open the door wide enough for her, not bothering to ask for her name. I won’t be needing it much anyways.

Daniel’s call distracts me as I lead her up to my bedroom. A king-sized bed is at the center of the room, with a bucket of ice and wine on the nightstand. Two wine glasses are beside it.

“Is it done already?” I ask, answering his call.

Adriana had warned me about her father. I’m not taking any risks by trusting him with the stupid deal. Daniel suggested planting our men in the midst of Gustavo’s gang.

“Yes. Met with Chito yet?”

“Mi ha mandato una cagna. (He sent me a bitch.)”

Daniel bursts into a laugh. “Adriana was looking for you when she woke up. I can’t tell if she’s pissed at you for not telling her.”

“No more talks about Adriana, asshole.” I reply.

“Divertiti, cazzo. (Have fun, damn it.)”

I end the call, setting my phone on the nightstand. She is sprawled on the bed with her legs crossed and a seductive look on her face.

“Hold the fuck on,” I tell her.
