‘You’re such a fucking creep,’ I said, wincing as he dug his nails into my nipple.
‘I am. And I can’t wait to play with you. If you don’t decide to come around, our games might even get to have a bloody conclusion. I’ve never fucked a woman while watching the light leave her eyes permanently.’
Vomit surged from my throat at his words, splattering over his shoes as he jumped back, standing and looking at me with disgust.
‘Logan will kill you,’ I gasped as he stopped and wiped vomit splashes from his shoes with a handkerchief.
‘I doubt that very much. If he kills me, you’ll rot in this building, dying a slow, painful death of starvation. He wouldn’t dare.’
‘Uncle Tony will help him.’
‘Uncle Tony isn’t going to help you if he finds out Logan’s been screwing his niece while engaged to his daughter. She’s his universe. Fuck, he might do me a favour and kill Logan himself if I let it slip after the wedding.’
‘Please, let me go.’
‘I can’t, Valentina.’ Hugh bent down and ran a thumb up my chin, gathering the vomit left there on his fingers and shoving them into my mouth as I heaved. ‘You’re the carrot to make the donkey behave.’
‘Gag her,’ Hugh said to his minions as he walked toward the door. ‘And don’t fuck her until after I have.’
Tears fell as one of the men stuffed material into my mouth, ignoring my pleas for help.
Logan was my only hope.
CHAPTER FORTY SIX
LOGAN
I didn’t wait for the butler to fetch Nicole as I entered the mansion, pushing past two of Tony’s men with a glare.
‘Nicole?’ I roared as I took the stairs two at a time, looking for her.
She poked her head out of a doorway, her eyes wide as I stormed past her.
‘Logan, you can’t just burst in here...’
‘Where is she?’
‘Who?’
‘You know who. Where the fuck has he taken Valentina?’
Nicole’s face crossed with genuine confusion as she tried to make connections meet in her head.
‘Who has Valentina? And why do you care?’ Her voice trembled as I closed the space between us, shoving her up against the door and reaching round her to lock it as I heard hurried footsteps on the stairs.
‘Because I’m in love with her and your shit-for-brains brother has kidnapped her.’
‘You love Valentina?’
‘Yes. And I need to get her back. Now.’
Nicole shoved lightly on my chest before sitting down heavily on the end of her bed, her head dropping into her hands as she took a breath.
‘You’re in love with my cousin. How the fuck?’
‘You’re screwing your step-brother, so let’s hold off the pointing fingers, shall we?’
Her eyes were wet when she looked back up at me, her face paler than usual. ‘I thought he loved me, but it’s all gone wrong.’
