Heiress throws her head back and lets out the most horrendous laugh I've ever heard. I don’t know what Kyle has on me, but it must be some stone cold proof for her to laugh that way.

“When did you become such a liar, Marc?” she asks, sounding disappointed. “I always thought you were the most honest and respectable working man I've ever encountered. That young girl must have something really special between her legs to make you deny the truth even when it’s all on audio.”

I lose my breath. Audio? What Audio? I thought I was very careful at the office. Very careful at home. We never go out together in the city because I've always been afraid of anyone seeing us together outside of work. I can’t imagine what audio she means.

“Oh yeah,” she chuckles. “Kyle isn’t as incompetent as you may think he is. But don’t worry. I won’t tell your secret. So long as you give me what I want.”

“And what’s that?” I ask, my voice coming out as a growl more than words.

“I want your dealers. I want a free commercial and free promotion. I want you to introduce me to the circle of people you and my father run with, and I want to be respected just as much as you are.”

Chapter Seventeen - Felicia

I'm worried about Marc. He was so angry when he left the office today, I fear he might have done something crazy. I haven’t heard from him since earlier and he hasn’t answered any of my calls. Just as I reach for my phone to call him again, I hear his voice downstairs talking to my dad.

“Busy day at the office today?” my dad asks. “You look like you could use a drink.”

“Very busy,” Marc says. “A drink would be perfect right now.”

I wonder how his talk with Heiress went. He wasn’t happy at all about Kyle possibly working with her, but I don’t see the big deal about it. He'll have to explain that to me whenever he wants to talk to me. I'm happy to hear that he’s okay and not in any trouble.

“Do you want to discuss what’s bothering you?” I hear my dad ask.

“It’s a long story Jep,” Marc says. “I was wondering if Felicia’s in? I need to talk to her about this deal we have going on with Heiress. It's pretty important and so last minute. I know.”

“Yep. Just got in not too long ago,” my dad says. “Looks like you’re working her hard over there.”

If only my father knew how hard Marc has been working me in more than just the office, he wouldn’t be standing at our door right now.

“Felicia!” he calls upstairs to me. “Your boss is here.”

A large smile crosses my face as I jump from my bed and slip into my house slippers and robe to go down and see why he’s here. Hopefully he hasn’t done anything to bring trouble to either of us, or his business. I would hate to see his face plastered all over the news.

“Coming!” I call back on my way down stairs.

The minute I lay eyes on Marc, I know something’s wrong. His eyes are bugged out and he’s pacing back and forth. Even though he’s on edge and looks like he’s seen a ghost, he’s still the sexiest man I've ever seen.

“Is everything alright?” I ask. “You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”

He stares at me in my robe with a succulent desire of his. My dad doesn’t catch his look right away. Out of sheer luck, Marc regains his composure before he does and asks if we can talk outside.

“Sure,” I say. “Give us a minute, Dad.”

“Ok,” he says. “I’m getting ready for bed anyway. I'll see you later, Marc.”

“Alright. Goodnight, Jep.”

I follow Marc to his car that’s parked at the far end of the driveway. The lights are dim all the way back here. It's a private place for him to park, so I figure he stopped by for some quick car action. Until he drops the bomb about Heiress and Kyle.

“They know. For sure, they know,” he says. “I went to talk to Heiress today about her and Kyle, and she told me he has audio of us from the dinner party at your dad’s. The night he claimed to be using the bathroom upstairs. I don’t know what he plans on doing with it, but this can’t get out. Not right now.”

I know he’s panicking right now, but I can’t help but feel sensational between my thighs. That fiery passion that burns for him every time I see him has turned itself on and isn’t letting me be as concerned as he is.

“Well, did she let you hear the audio?” I ask, placing my hand on his thigh near the bulging hard-on in his pants. “I bet we sounded hot.”

“What?” He frowns and tosses my hand away. “No, she didn’t let me hear the audio. Felicia, this is serious business here. If your dad finds out about this, it’s over. For both of us. Do you understand that?”

I understand him completely. I understand how much he adores his friendship with my father, but I also understand how turned on Marc makes me. It's not something I can control. I don't even see how he can control himself right now. I'm sitting next to him in my robe with nothing underneath and all he wants to talk about is work.
