Her eyes sparkled at the mention of his plans. She knew Ranveer Malhotra’s plans for them would always be seductive and full of love.
“I'm taking you on a honeymoon, sweetheart. We're going away for a month,” he announced.
Maya blushed deeply at his words. He pulled her closer by her waist and squeezed her gently.
“And we can always extend the trip,” he whispered.
“But Mumma?” Maya began, suddenly remembering.
“You think I wouldn’t talk to her before taking her daughter away? Of course I got her permission, and she was more than happy to see you off with me,” Ranveer replied. “Daadi is taking Mom-in-law with her to Jaipur during that period, and I’ve asked your Aunt Pammi to join them as well. They’ll have a great time there without us.”
Maya’s face lit up. Ranveer had thought of everything.
“Great,” Dhruv said, zipping up his bags. “I’m leaving now. You guys, please call me before you fly and send me loads of sexy pictures. I want to see Maya Bhabhi in minis and shorts,” he winked.
“That’s my plan,” he winked back at Dhruv before hugging him tightly. “I’m just a phone call away, remember that.”
This was the first time Dhruv was starting his own life, independently.
“Bro, I’m not going to a boarding school where I’ll be ragged. Relax. I’ll be in touch,” Dhruv reassured.
Ranveer agreed before he and Maya escorted Dhruv out.
EPILOGUE
Jaipur – Two weeks later
“Cupcakes anyone?” Garima entered, holding a tray of freshly baked cupcakes.
“Garima, they smell delicious,” Pammi praised, picking one from the tray.
Subhadra Malhotra stared at the two women with a bemused expression on her face.
“Are you really sure about this?” she asked.
“What? The cupcakes?” Pammi teased.
“I'm talking about the Jungle Safari.”
The ladies had planned a 2-day Jungle Safari. Last week, they had already done sightseeing and even shopped a few things for everyone. But the Jungle Safari had always been on their list from the start. Subhadra Malhotra felt a little awkward about going out into the wild like that, so she wanted to be sure if Pammi and Garima really wanted to do this or not.
“Subhadraji,” Garima offered her a cupcake. “It will be fun. I heard from my son-in-law that you love animals. This is your best chance to see them live.”
“Ranveer told you that?” Subhadra asked. “This boy…”
Garima chuckled. That was not true. The only thing the great Subhadra Malhotra was scared of was animals.
“Come on, Subhadraji,” Pammi urged, taking another cupcake. “It will be so much fun. We will be caged in the vehicle. The animals won't harm us, and plus we have your grandsons' security with us. They will protect us at any cost.”
That was right. Ranveer had arranged everything for them, from making bookings through Aman for the Jungle Safari to hiring the best bodyguards for the three ladies who would accompany them everywhere.
“I am overwhelmed by the way my son-in-law is pampering us. This is like a Spinster Party for us. I have never felt so free and independent before,” Garima exclaimed.
Subhadra nodded in agreement. This little time she was spending with Garima and her friend Pammi was enjoyable.
“You are right, Garima. I have always preferred staying alone in this place, aloof from my grandson and his life, but having company like you two has changed my mind. I don’t think I will ever be able to stay alone again.”
“Subhadraji,” Garima said, clutching her arm. “No one is going to leave you alone. I am here for you, and once our kids are back, we will head to Paradise.”
