Few Hours Later

“Dhruv?” Maya couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw Dhruv at Paradise this early. And he looked much happier, better than yesterday.

“Where is Bro?” he asked, reaching her.

“He is in the shower. But what are you doing here? I hope things are okay with you and Kunal.”

Her worry was genuine, but Dhruv shrugged it off.

“This is not about Kunal Bhai.”

“Then?”

“Wait. I will see Bro first and be right back. What’s for breakfast?” he asked, rushing towards Ranveer and Maya’s bedroom.

“Pancakes,” she screamed and chuckled when he pushed the door open and barged inside.

What was going on? Dhruv had never been so impatient to see Ranveer like he was today.

Ranveer was just out of the bathroom in a towel, freshly showered, and was stunned to see his younger brother in the room.

“What the!” Ranveer scowled.

“Sorry, Bro. I know you wish Maya Bhabhi was here to see you in this state, but don’t worry, I won’t take much of your time.”

“Cut the crap and tell me what you're doing here?”

Dhruv smiled and reached Ranveer in a few strides, giving him a tight hug, almost bone-crushing.

“I won the boxing match yesterday,” Dhruv announced, brandishing a golden medal from his pocket and displaying it proudly to Ranveer.

“Congrats,” Ranveer patted his arm. “I was wondering why you didn’t tell me about it yesterday, though I got to know from my sources later that you won the match too. I would have come to see it had you told me.”

“I know you would have, but considering you were busy and also handling so much happening around these days, I thought maybe next time,” Dhruv sighed, then held his ears. “But next time, I promise I want both you and Maya Bhabhi cheering me up there.”

“We will,” Ranveer hugged Dhruv before admiring his medal proudly.

“Congratulations, Dhruv,” Maya entered the room with two mugs of freshly brewed coffee. She was surprised that Dhruv hadn't mentioned his match, and even Ranveer had kept it from her. If he had known yesterday that Dhruv had a match like that and also won it, why didn’t he tell her? Maya handed the coffees to both brothers.

“Thank you, Bhabhi,” Dhruv replied.

“Why didn’t you tell me about Dhruv’s match and that he won last night?” Maya asked Ranveer.

Ranveer sipped the hot coffee without taking his eyes off her.

“You know I was busy, and then it slipped my mind.”

“Slipped your mind?” she frowned.

“You want me to tell what I was busy with and with whom?” he countered with a grin. “I don’t mind reminiscing those details again,” he added.

A blush crept on Maya’s cheeks recalling their passionate moments of last night.

“Oh my God,” Dhruv laughed. “You both are just so freaking romantic. You guys can make even a dead man blush. Get a room, guys.”

“This is our room,” Ranveer mocked.

Dhruv heartily laughed for being reminded that.
