Maya’s face turned red like a tomato as the doors of the elevator closed again. Seriously? Seduce him?

After breakfast with Dhruv, Maya was chatting with him when her phone buzzed. She didn’t delay checking the message, which was from her husband.

‘I hope you are working on ideas for seducing me tonight.’

Maya coughed, feeling her heart in her mouth.

“Are you okay?” Dhruv asked.

“Yeah,” she coughed again. “I'm fine.”

“Whose message?”

“Nothing serious,” she denied talking about it. The more she thought about her husband’s demands, the more trouble she'd end up in.

“Okay, let me guess,” Dhruv smiled. “Bro’s message?”

Maya wanted to lie, but her facial expressions gave the answer Dhruv needed.

“Don’t lie. I can read it, Maya Bhabhi,” he added. “What is he saying?”

Maya was still speechless.

“Or rather, what is he demanding?”

Maya rolled her eyes. She wished she could share this with someone, but Dhruv couldn't be the one. He was Ranveer’s brother, after all. He could give ideas to Ranveer, but not her. Her phone buzzed again. What the hell was Ranveer up to? If he kept sending her messages like these, she wouldn’t be able to focus on anything else.

‘Wear a shade of red tonight. Should be enough for starters.’

That’s it. She couldn’t take this anymore.

“I think I should leave,” Dhruv got up. “You have plans, I suppose, and I don’t want to intrude.”

Maya held her smile. Were her expressions making it obvious for anyone to read and understand?

“It’s not like that,” she argued with Dhruv.

“Yeah? Your red cherry face is hinting something else. Don’t worry about our chit chat. We can do it later. I need to hit the boxing classes in a while. Tell Bro I will see him tomorrow.”

Maya didn’t stop him. The moment he left, she got another message from her husband.

‘I wish I could wrap my arms around you right now.’

She decided to reply to this one.

‘Patience, dear husband. Show some and you will be rewarded.’

She didn’t have to wait long for his reply. It was spontaneous.

‘I am intrigued. See you soon.’

Her cheeks burned red again. Even his texts were intimidating.

Chapter 61

Paradise – Late evening

“Maya, I'm home,” Ranveer said, taking off his coat and hanging it on the stand. “Maya,” he called out again, but there were no signs of her.
