We kissed one another politely on either cheek. His eyes glittered. He leaned in and whispered, “Your Domenent is here, isn’t he? I can see his handiwork all over you.”

I flushed, turning to the shelves.

“I don’t know what you mean, and I don’t care. Now, you said you found it. I was looking for it in the back, but I’ve not run into any. I might have to make some more.”

Lord Kèros beamed.

“No need! Here’s the vial. I remember this being the one my bride brought home recently before we ran out.”

The fae Lord was handsome and proud, holding up the vial before me. I nodded. He was right. This indeed was what I’d been searching for before I got distracted.

“Yes, this is it. I wanted to supplement you with another as well.” Looking through the inventory of vials, I found just the one. I turned to Kèros and smiled sweetly. “The enchantment you have will amp up your heat in bed. But this one will make sure a little one soon makes their appearance.”

His eyes misted before he pulled me into a hug.

“Thank you, Lady Daliah. Elèor is lucky to have you back. Now, I’ll leave you to him.”

My mouth fell in a small o before I gathered myself.

“Lord Kèros, I assure you there’s no need.”

He grinned wickedly, his eyes somewhere behind me.

“Oh, but there is. Till next time, my dear. I’ll be sure to let the ones upfront know you’re preoccupied and will be awhile.”

He winked, turned around, and elegantly strutted away.

“The hells?”

I turned. Zhèmson leaned on a shelf, arms crossed, wings flapping impatiently. I squealed as he pulled me to him by his wings.

“You’re all mine now.”

With a swoop, I was in his arms, gown pushed up my thighs, back against the wall, as Zhèmson pressed into me, tongue already on my neck. I shook in his arms, relishing the way my body reacted to his touch. Demanded he give more.

“Zhèmrazraèl, I have clients.”

The High Prince snarled, nibbling my neck with his canines.

“And I have needs. Now stop distracting me as you try not to scream.”

I laughed despite myself and thought of something.

“Zhèmson?”

“Mm,” he mumbled, using his teeth to pull down the straps of my gown on one side.

“I know we love Elèor.”

“Mhm.”

“And you were in Urien’s tower a long time.”

“Mm,” he mumbled, pulling down the straps off my other side.

“But… while I love it here, I can’t help but remember the tower. The Vèrtu. Sairi. The garden. The library… there.”

Zhèmson looked up at me with molten eyes.
