Once I was satisfied I leaned over her on the bed with my arms on either side of her. “This stays on all day.” I tapped the plug to make sure it was in there nice and tight.
“Don’t forget, I’m watching you so I’ll know if you move it. Now kiss me.” She reached for my head pulling me down to her and we kissed.
It was a kiss filled with passion and dare I say, love. I wanted nothing more than to climb back into that bed with her and show her how much I still loved her.
How much I had come to accept that I would always love her, but not yet. There were still a few things I needed to do first.
“I want you to meet me at the office today at one. Wear this.” I showed her the designer jeans she’d had in the closet since we were married but never worn.
I paired them with a wraparound silk top that I knew would enhance her cleavage and show off the shape of her breasts, which I love to see.
I ran down the stairs and picked up my jacket off the couch where I’d left it earlier. I saw her on the stairs when I turned to close the door.
We stood there looking at each other for the next minute and a half before I turned and walked away.
I looked back at the house in the rearview mirror all the way down the drive because I could see her standing in the window watching me leave.
I smiled when I made it onto the street and couldn’t tell you why I was smiling. All I know is that there’s been a heaviness pressing down on me since the day of the divorce, that was now gone.
