I squint at her. Her voice sounds familiar. "Have we met before?"
She smooths her hands down her green, fitted elegant dress that halts at her knees as she peeks at Nick, then back at me. “No.”
“Kinsley and I will return soon. Make yourselves comfortable. We’ll join you in the dining room.” Nick says.
“Nice to meet you all.” I wave over my shoulder as Nick hurries me out of the room.
“What’s the big rush? Are you afraid your family will tell me there’s a dead body in the basement?” I chuckle.
