I stepped behind her, wrapping my hand around her waist. My nose nuzzled her earlobe. “This is nice. Right?”

My lips curled. “I have an MMA tournament coming up next month. I’d like to see your beautiful face sitting outside the cage.”
Her fingers grazed mine. “I don’t know.”
“It’s an underground fight. Hayden won’t be there. No one knows I’m fighting but you.”
She peeked up at me. “Ok.”
“Good. Let’s see who can catch the biggest fish first.”
I stepped beside her, grabbing my rod.
“You know I’ll win.”
“Sure, you will, Vicky.”
“I’ll cook lunch in thirty minutes.”
“Wait, your cooking for us.”
“I’ve cooked for you many times in the past.”
“No, you cooked for yourself. I walked into the kitchen and ate off your plate.”
I sighed. “Well, since you put it like that, then yes this is the first time I am cooking for you.”
She laughed.
I peeked at her beautiful sun kissed face. “Is that a pleasant smile?”
She waved me off. “Don’t get used to it. I’m not a nice person.”
“Correction, Vicky. You are nice when we are together.”
She scowled. “Tell no one.”
I raised one hand, surrendering. “Not a chance. I’d like to keep your sweetness for myself.”
She turned a bright reddish hue. “Enough with the charm, Zander.”
I stepped away, grabbing our chairs, placing them closer to the rail. “Have a seat.”
