Jérôme is staring at me. Okay, I know that was a vague answer but how do you tell your brother that you want to check out a sex club?

“Is it a super-secret squirrel club or something?” He chuckles.

“No. It’s—well—oh fucking hell. It’s a sex club. Don’t judge me,” I blurt out.

Jérôme starts laughing. What as ass. I wait for him to stop, but at this point it looks like he might just pass out from the lack of oxygen. Which may not be a bad thing. People are starting to stare at him, so I back away slowly. He finally starts sucking in air and his color is returning to normal.

“Do you mean Club Sin?” He asks, still smiling.

How the fuck does he know about Club Sin?

I frown at him. “Yeah. How do you know about it?”

“I over-heard some interns talking about the one in Chicago. It sounded interesting, but I never have enough free time to check it out. But since we’re here, maybe I’ll join you. I’m sure François will say yes to going.”

“I wonder if François has tried Club Sin?”

“I’m sure he would’ve said something if he’s gone to one. You know he can’t keep shit to himself.” Jérôme laughs.

“You’re right.” I chuckle.

Out of all of us, François has always been the one who couldn’t keep a secret. Even when we were kids, we never told him things if it was a surprise. The first and only time we did was when he was nine. We were trying to plan a surprise for Giovanna. She knew something was going on and she hates not knowing things. She tried to get each of us to tell her. I thought Lorenzo was going to break down and tell her. But nope. François was the one who couldn’t keep it to himself. He told her the whole surprise.

“Why is it you fuckers are always picking on me? Isn’t it the youngest that’s supposed to be picked on?” François squints at us and points at Jérôme.

“Where the fuck did you come from?” Jérôme squints back at him. “And don’t point at me. I’m not the one who can’t keep a secret.”

“It’s not my fault you assholes don’t pay attention to your surroundings.” He smirks. “Too busy being mean to me. And I can keep a fucking secret.”

“Name one time you did.” I laugh.

François thinks for a minute—you can see the realization that he can’t keep a secret and we all start laughing.

“You both suck,” he says through his laughter. “It was ONE TIME. And I was nine, for fucks sake.”

“Yeah but it was an important one and you caved when Giovanna poked at you.”

“She looked at me with her big sad eyes and I just couldn’t.” François sighs. “You know that look she gets. Hell, she still gets that look now!”

François is right. If there’s anyone who can make any of us feel bad or give up information it’s our baby sister. She’s got the biggest green eyes and she has that innocent look down.

François

I can keep secrets, they just don’t know. I mean you make a few mistakes as a kid and brothers will never let you forget it. I’m excited to be going to Seattle with them. I want to check out a club I heard about. Club Sin. There’s one here in Chicago, but I’ve never had the time to go.

“What were you two talking about?” I ask them as we head into the airport.

“There’s a club we’re thinking of going to while we’re in Seattle.”

“Awesome. What kind of club? Dance club?”

Jérôme laughs.

“No, it’s a specialty club,” Christophe says.

I frown at both of them. “What the fuck is a ‘specialty club’?”

“It’s a place where special things happen.” Jérôme chuckles.
