Alessandro stares at me blankly. “I had no idea.”
I wipe the tears from my cheeks. “Neither did I till the moment those people asked me what my dream wedding would be like, and when I thought about it all I could see was us drunk in Vegas and making a mockery out of something that should have been special.”
“This could have all been avoided if you had just got your family to step away from the deal,” he says.
I stare at him in shock. I can’t believe he is saying this right now to me.
“Fuck you, Conti.” I take a step and square up at him. “I’m going to make your life a living hell. You’re going to wish you signed those annulment papers.” And with that, I turn away from him and head to my car.
I flip him off as I drive past him.
Revenge is going to be so sweet.
