I felt her soft hand gently touch my shoulder and pull me back,

“He’s not worth it.” She whispered to me. She’s right. Death would be too easy, too good for him. He deserved to suffer every single day. He deserved to feel nothing but absolute fear anytime he woke up or left his home. He didn’t deserve the last thing he saw to be Catalina’s face.

I pulled him close, slightly easing my grip on his throat, and rammed my fist straight into his face.

“LUCIFER!”

Catalina yelled as I pulled him back and delivered another blow.

And another.

And another.

And another.

The sound of his bones cracking and breaking beneath me echoed throughout the room as I slammed my fists harder and harder into his face. The sound was beautiful, it kept me going and kept the motivation in me to keep punching and keep hurting. To break. To destroy.

“I said that’s enough!” Catalina yelled as she lifted my head to face her. Those big beautiful green eyes stared back at me.

Her eyes are not orange. She isn’t angry?

“You need to get out of here.” She said gently as if it were just me and her in this world.

I glanced back at the man, now gasping for air on the ground. His two eyes were swollen shut, blood leaking out of his nose and mouth.

I’d rather see his entire face swollen rather than just his eyes but I guess it will do for now.

“Go, I’ll be right behind you.” I nodded in her direction and she made her way to the door as I knelt and pulled the bastard therapist closer.

“If I ever catch you putting your hands on her or anyone ever again, I will make you bleed out of places you never thought could bleed.”

I chucked the pathetic sack of a man and his head hit the ground, knocking him out cold.

Pathetic.

I rushed out of the office and found Catalina waiting by the front entrance, nervously twirling a piece of hair and looking outside. I came up behind her and gently opened the door, pushing her out,

“Let’s get you out of here,” I said to her as I grabbed her hand,

“You’re coming with me.” her fingers tightened around my hand as she led me to a black Nissan and opened the passenger side door.

“Get in the damn car Lucifer.”

I stared at her for just a moment. There was no fear. She wasn’t afraid or scared but there was something about her. Something in the way her eyes shifted and the way she spoke. She was worried.

What was she so worried about?

“Can you get in the damn car already please?” She asked and I nodded to her as I slid into the passenger seat and shut the door. I watched as she made her way to the driver’s side, looking in every direction as if someone might come out. Something was eating at her. She was panicking about something. I knew she wasn’t worried about her former therapist. But what was eating her up so badly?

“Stop at the police station first.”

Catalina looked at me, her green eyes widened in surprise,

“Why the hell would I do that?”

“Because you’re making a report against that creep.”

“Lucifer there’s nothing-”
