My blood was boiling, turning I stormed into the venture, and my vision was blurring. When I spotted him, I ran up to him and got an inch from his face. “You’re fired!”

Tommy laughed. “You can’t fire me, big guy.You aren’t in charge around here.” He straightened up his suit.

“I’m in charge now, mother fucker. Get out. You aren’t welcome at Titan Enterprises.”

“Whatever.”

My mom approached. “What on earth is going on?”

“This asshole is making Brielle feel unsafe. He cornered her on the balcony and was saying all kinds of sick shit to her.”

She turned to Tommy. “Is this true?”

“It’s true,” Brielle said as she appeared next to me, staying close to me. “He said he was going to take everything Jameson had., among other things I’d rather not repeat.”

Mom looked at Tommy with a scrawl. “You heard him, you’re fired.” She waved her hand at him.

“I’ll be contacting my lawyer,” he retorted.

“Go ahead, asshole.”

I took hold of Brielle’s hand, and we headed out.

“Where are we going?”

“I’m taking you away for two days.”

“What?”

I was already dialing my pilot’s number. Opening my car door, she got in the passenger’s seat, and I drove us back to my place.

“Just pack enough for a few days.”

Brielle reached and placed her hands on my arms. “Jameson.”

“What?”

“Breathe. You act like I’m fragile glass. I’m okay.”

“I know you’re okay. I just want to get out of the city.” I planted a kiss on her forehead. “Now go pack.”

She turned to go down the hallway, but I heard her say, “This is not necessary.”

I threw some clothes, my toiletries, and I was ready to go. Standing in her doorway, I watched as she quickly moved around the room, throwing things around. “I don’t even know what to pack?”

“Comfortable clothes and maybe one nice dress.”

“Okay.”

Once she was ready, she stood in front of me, it was cute how she had to tilt her head to look up at me. I dropped my bag on the floor, cupped her face in my hands, and took her lips. I heard the thud of her bag dropping as well, she deepened the kiss, and our tongues tangled together. Until she pulled away. “We should go,” she said, smiling then picking up her bag.

I smirked, then picked up my bag and took hers in my other hand. Back outside at my car, I put the bags away, got Brielle’s door for her, and then got in the driver’s seat.

We arrived at the airport, popping the trunk, a crew member grabbed our bags and took them to the private plane.

Her feet planted firmly on the ground as she looked at the plane.

“What’s wrong?” I placed a hand on the small of her back.
