“With how busy we’ve been, I’ve missed you.”

Emily sighed softly. “I’ve missed you so much.”

Wrapping my arm around her, I blocked the hulking presence behind me. I was definitely taller than him, but his anger at me invading his space was palpable. He seemed at least twice my size as he seethed.

But I was a man on a mission.

“I want to take the next step with you.”

Emily sucked in a breath and Bardot stepped closer to her.

He motioned between the two of us. “Have the two of you—”

“No.” Emily shook her head, her cheeks reddening. She met my gaze, the color of her cheeks deepening. “I want to, though.”

I had thrown on a pair of loose sweats after my post-game shower, otherwise I would have been seriously worried about the safety of my cock as it hardened at the sight of her sweet face when she admitted she wanted me inside her. In front of the other guy she was dating, no less.

“What about you guys?”

Bardot cleared his throat. “Not yet. I was waiting until tonight.”

Emily’s eyes snapped to his. “Why were you waiting until tonight?”

He shrugged as if that would fool either of us into thinking he wasn’t wildly uncomfortable talking about this in front of me. “If you didn’t enjoy it, I didn’t want you to be reminded of it every time you came home.”

Bardot struck me as someone who fucked at home. In his own bed. And that was it. The fact he would venture so far out of his comfort zone to make Emily more comfortable thawed a little of the ice that had formed around my opinion of him.

He had also brought her to climax on the plane.

Emily was changing me. Making me strive to be a better person every day. More focused. More committed.

Maybe she was changing him, too.

Her eyes volleyed between us, widening with each pass. “You both want to sleep with me? Tonight?”

“Yes,” we said in unison. I didn’t dare glance at Bardot. The harmony in our voices resonated something in me. A night I had long tried to bury. And the pain of seeing his reaction—especially if it wasn’t good—would be enough to break my nerve.

“I’ve wondered what it would be like—the two of you.” She cleared her throat and looked at us in turn. “Together.”

The boldness of that woman. It took my breath away. “Is that something you want?”

“I mean, you’re both here.” She twirled her hair around her finger and bit her lower lip.

If it was my first time meeting her, I would have thought she was playing coy. Acting all innocent to rope us into a threesome.

But this girl was serious. And nervous. And I was proud as hell she felt comfortable enough with us to ask.

“We agreed this was a separate thing,” Bardot said, but I caught the hitch of anticipation between his words.

“I’m okay keeping it separate unless the two of you are interested…” Emily’s voice trailed off, and I wanted to smack him for making her confidence falter.

“This is just something casual—a onetime thing?” I glanced at Bardot.

His damn eyebrows were so furrowed I wasn’t sure he could actually see me. “Definitely just once.” His face softened when he turned to Em. “But I don’t know if I can keep anything casual with you, Em.”

She melted at his words. Hell, I melted a little, too. Sebastian had made it super clear he wasn’t interested in anything more the last time we hooked up with a woman, but damn, I wouldn’t be sad if this was a more regular occurrence.

“I don’t want casual,” she breathed. “With either of you.”
