My eyes not leaving hers even as she maneuvers out of the elevator and stands there looking all kinds of sexy and simply beautiful.
“Stay here. Seriously. Do not follow me,” she tells me and I reluctantly nod.
Then, just as the doors start closing, I put my hand out and stop it.
“Are you okay?” I ask, and the softness in my voice shocks me.
It’s barely there, but Payton gives me a single nod.
I let the doors close and lean against the wall as the elevator takes me back down to the first floor. An emptiness falls over me, and I rub my hand over my face.
This is the first time I haven’t wanted to leave a woman after any kind of sexual activity. Technically, we haven’t fucked, but the need to know if she is truly okay is killing me.
I’ve never done anything like that.
I should be concerned I fucked up, but I know she won’t tell anyone. Her job is at risk if Alexandra found out.
