She found herself thinking about him and sex so much. Traitorous body, or horny body, she couldn’t make out which it was, but as he pressed her up against the wall of the shower, she couldn’t help but wonder if one day soon, they would.

Mason sat in Jacob’s office. His brother-in-law continued to glare at him, but he didn’t react to it. There was no point. The other man could hate him. Gabriel, however, was sitting, enjoying a whiskey.

“How is married life treating you?” Gabriel asked.

“Good.”

“And Tamsin?”

Jacob remained silent. Mason was sure Jacob was under the impression that he’d in some way manipulated Tamsin. That he must be the reason Tamsin didn’t want to see her brothers. He clearly didn’t want to take responsibility for his own actions.

This was not Mason’s doing. From the start, he’d been quite clear to Tamsin that she was free to see her family. So long as she didn’t try anything stupid like run away, they would get along fine.

He’d thought being married would be a piece of cake. He’d have a wife at home, and he could go about his life without a care in the world. Mason didn’t expect to start feeling so possessive of his wife, so obsessed with her. It was insane. Completely and totally … amazing.

“She’s doing well.” This very morning in the shower, he had made sure she was more than satisfied. Pressing her up against the wall and running his hands all over her body, touching her, he’d nearly broke his own rules and taken her right there.

He wanted to be inside her so badly, but he wasn’t going to break his promise to her. When the time was right, he would finally take her virginity, and then Tamsin would belong to him completely.

“And your father?” Jacob asked.

“He hasn’t come anywhere near her,” Mason said. “I gave you my word. If you wanted to see her at my home, I wouldn’t stop you.”

Jacob glared at him. “My home is Tamsin’s home.”

Jacob and Gabriel had both decided to live in the Denton family home. He didn’t know how Louisa, Jacob’s wife, took that news, but it seemed to be working for them.

All the other brothers had different homes. Mason still kept track of them all, even though they were meant to be his allies, and he had given no reason why they shouldn’t be.

He’d been the one to find Tamsin. In all truth, he hadn’t even known how he had located her. If he’d told his brothers he was going to that pokey little town based on a feeling, they would have laughed at him. Mason had sat and watched Tamsin. No one, not even his brothers knew, that he’d watched her for a couple of days before he finally stole her away.

It was only after a call from Connor to warn him of where his father was, that he’d cut his stalking a little short.

He had wanted Tamsin to have a good life, and seeing how happy she was, he wanted to extend that. He’d also wanted to be a part of that happiness, but he knew he couldn’t have it all his own way.

“I’m not disputing where Tamsin can have a home. She’s my wife and I’m doing everything in my power to protect her, just as I know you all will as well.” Jacob had turned into a miserable bastard over the last couple of years. “In fact, I was curious about your father.”

He noticed both Jacob and Gabriel tensed up at the mention of their father. Maddox Denton had been a good man, at least in the beginning. According to sources, a true family man, and then something changed and warped his mind. He’d become the monster of the family.

Mason figured it all went wrong once he decided to have a woman killed. He believed her name was Sarah, could be something else. Either way, it was Landon’s woman, and she’d died by being pushed in front of a speeding car. All arranged by Maddox, so he could use his son to join forces with the Castillos and the Savonases.

Jade Castillo had been marked for Landon. She had actually run away with Landon, and they had caused a great deal of problems together.

Tamsin had been for him, a Savonas. His father had jumped at the chance of having the connection.

“What about him?” Jacob asked, clearly on edge.

Mason leaned forward. He knew he didn’t have a lot of time. He’d be meeting Albert within a few minutes.

“Do any of you know the intricacies of the arrangement between Maddox Denton and Paul Savonas?”

“Why? What more are you wanting?” Jacob asked.

Mason got to his feet and moved toward the drinks cabinet. He’d only sipped at his whiskey, but he filled his glass. The taste was exquisite, and he knew it had to be the expensive stuff. He did love the taste of good quality whiskey.

He turned toward Jacob and saw Gabriel had also stood and put his glass down on the coffee table. His hand was at a specific point on his body, almost as if he was waiting to strike.
