“I don’t know,” she answered as honestly as she could. “But, I’d like you to kiss me, and to do so because you want to, and because you’re not afraid.”

Mason chuckled. “I’m not afraid of you, Tamsin.”

“What about … me being a Denton?” She tilted her head to the side and looked at him.

“I don’t give a fuck what your name was before. Last time I checked, Tamsin, you’re a Savonas. You’re no Denton.”

And then, he slammed his lips down on hers. Tamsin loved that. In those moments, she didn’t want to be a Denton.

He grasped her hip, pulling her closer, and then one hand gripped her neck, holding her in place. She whimpered as he deepened the kiss. His lips explored her mouth, opened her up, and she took the kiss.

His tongue traced across her lips, and she was so curious, she couldn’t help but touch his with her own. In doing so, she opened her mouth and he took full advantage, plunging his tongue within her mouth.

Her body felt on fire, and she was so aware of where his hands were. The one at her neck was so strong as it held her in place. The other at her hip, she wanted him to move, to touch her.

She didn’t voice her needs. There was no way she was ready to do that. She was more than happy for him to take his time, to explore her. She wasn’t in a rush to start anything.

Or was she?

Her body felt on fire. The clothes she wore felt a little tight, and she wanted to feel his hands all over, touching her.

Mason broke the kiss and began to trail kisses down her neck, going to her pulse. She was about to ask him what he was doing, but then he nibbled on a spot on her neck, and Tamsin couldn’t even think.

It was like a million different pleasure centers were going off at the same time. She didn’t want it to stop. Her breasts felt heavy, and her pussy slick.

Why had she denied herself for so long?

Tamsin was like fire in his arms. Mason’s cock was so fucking hard, it was painful in his pants. This was his loose pair, but they had gotten tight within seconds of feeling Tamsin against him.

He broke the kiss when he heard her soft sigh, and then, slowly, he walked her out of his office and toward the stairs. There were no guards in sight.

Mason had told them to take their posts somewhere else. Walking up the stairs with Tamsin behind him, he didn’t go to her bedroom, but the master bedroom—where she was supposed to stay.

They had not shared a bedroom, other than on their wedding night. If they went to visit her or his family, they made their excuses to come home. They hadn’t shared a bed.

Stepping into the bedroom, he closed the door behind him. There were always guards, and they would have patrols to deal with in the morning, not to mention the staff he hired to clean this place. Privacy was what he wanted with his woman.

With the door closed, he turned toward Tamsin, and she looked nervous. Her cheeks were flushed, and the negligee she wore left little to the imagination. She looked stunning.

There were a couple of lamps aglow, and even though he would have loved to see every single inch of her, he didn’t want to scare her with too much too soon. So, soft lighting, a few places for shadows. Almost like they were stealing time together.

Stepping toward her, he reached for the belt of her robe and opened it. The robe was useless anyway, and pretty much hanging down to her elbows. He pushed it off her body and allowed it to drop to the floor. Tamsin didn’t fight him.

She continued to stare at him, and he looked into her eyes. Pools of bright blue, so shocking against her black hair. Cupping her face, he tilted her head back as he stared at her.

“I’ve never done this,” Tamsin said.

“I know.”

“You’ll have to tell me what to do.”

“Tamsin,” he said, and pressed his lips to hers. Just a small kiss. “I won’t be making love, nor will I be fucking you tonight.”

Tamsin frowned. “What? Why not?”

“This is our first night together, and with you still being a virgin, you and I both know it’s going to hurt.”
