“I want to have you for breakfast,” he whispered, licking my bottom lip.

Heat pooled in my cheeks.

“Oi! It’s nine already!” Caleb’s shout made us jump apart.

Turning toward the doorway, I spotted Caleb.

He was fully dressed in a fresh suit. His wild, dark locks were tamed and slicked back, revealing a wide, smooth forehead. There was only a hint of stubble on his shaved chin.

“We were having a moment,” Corey hollered back.

Caleb glanced at me. “Do you want to stay here longer?” he asked. “I don’t mind canceling the meetings scheduled this morning.”

I shook my head. “No, don’t do that. I’ll get in the shower and join you guys for a bite.”

Wrapping the blanket more securely around me this time, I walked into the bathroom and closed the door behind me.

For a moment, I just stood there and breathed, willing my heart to calm down.

It’s nine already, Caleb’s words rang in my mind.

I didn’t want to look sloppy and be late after a stupid business dinner.

Letting go of the blanket, I stepped into a glass-walled chamber and turned on the shower.

Hot water cascaded down on me, relaxing my sore muscles at once.

The luxury hotel provided everything I could need. There were fresh towels, bathrobes, and some amazing toiletry products.

The only thing I needed was a fresh pantsuit for work.

Stepping out of the bathroom in a robe, I looked for my clothes and phone. Someone had already folded them neatly and placed them on a couch in the bedroom. My phone lay on top of the heap.

Picking up my phone, I called Tom.

“Morning, ma’am,” he answered in his familiar deep voice.

“Morning, Tom,” I replied. “Are you guys still at the hotel?”

“Yeah, we’re here.”

“I need a favor,” I whispered.

“What can I do?” he asked, sounding excited. “By the way, did you spend the night with those hunky twins? Are they still around?”

A snigger escaped me. “They’re with me.”

Tom squealed. “Yes!!!”

I laughed. “Listen, can you go to my apartment and get me some clothes? I need them right away. There’s no way I can walk out of here wearing what I wore yesterday.”

“Greg will stay in the hotel in case you need him,” said Tom in a more subdued voice. “I will get your stuff. It’ll take me about half an hour if the traffic isn’t a bitch.”

“That’s cool,” I said. “There are no urgent meetings this morning, so you can take your time. Just grab me some fresh underwear and a suit.”

“Yes, Boss.”

I switched off the call and took a deep breath.
