“It didn’t feel like nothing,” said Caleb. “Come on, Milla. Who’re you fooling here? You liked kissing me.”

“I liked it,” I confessed in a small voice. “But trust me. It meant nothing. I don’t want to string you guys along or anything. You say you want to help me but I still can’t bring myself to trust you.”

“You’ve got to try,” said Corey. “If you want to take over Amhurst Co., you’re going to have to work with us. Heck! You’re even going to have to deal with Noah.”

“Give us a chance,” said Caleb. “Spend this night with us. Let us show you how much we care for you, how much we’ve loved you even when you weren’t around.”

Their gazes shone with an intensity that sent my heart racing. Could it be true? Could they be just like me? Had they been missing me too?

“Give us one night,” said Corey. “No strings attached.”

“You’re asking me for a one-night stand?” I asked. “Aren’t things between us complicated enough?”

Corey shrugged. “Let’s be honest, Milla. Sleeping one night with us wouldn’t make any difference to our situation. So, why even worry about it?”

He had a point. It was going to be purely physical between us. Why not take what he was offering me? My throbbing pussy rejoiced at that thought.

Corey shifted closer to me. Leaning in, he captured my lips between his.

A moan escaped me as tiny currents sparked all over my skin. Corey’s kiss was soft and gentle too but it lit my body on fire. My thighs pressed together.

A draft of cool air brushed over my back. Caleb had unzipped the back of my dress and wasted no time in slipping the sleeves off my shoulders.

“Let’s take this to the bedroom,” I said boldly.

Surprise sparked in Corey’s eyes.

Win for Azalea, I thought. There was no way I’d have ever felt confident enough to ask guys like them out in the past. It felt good to be at par with them.

The two men rose from the couch. They extended their hand toward me, silently welcoming me to take them.

I caught hold of both their hands and allowed them to haul me to my feet.

“This way,” said Caleb in a throaty grunt as he led the way into the bedroom.

A vast king-sized bed with lavish bedspreads took up most of the space in the room. It was big enough for all of us.

I let the dress slip off me. Dressed in nothing but my bra and panties, I walked toward the bed in my heeled stilettos and sat down on the edge.

Corey and Caleb stared at me hungrily. When I kicked my shoes off and climbed onto the bed, they came forward.

Caleb started removing the the buttons of his shirt. “I can’t believe this is really happening,” he said. “Are we dreaming, Corey? Is she really here with us?”

Corey’s emerald eyes shone with intensity. “I know what you mean. You can’t deny we thought she was dead or worse.”

“Did you really think I was dead?” I asked them.

“You disappeared, Milla,” said Caleb, taking off his shirt completely. He moved onto the bed and covered my body with his. “I don’t care if this is all a dream. I’m going to show you how much we truly care about you.”

“We’ll protect you, Milla,” said Corey, moving over to the bed. “Things will be different this time.”

I drank in the sight of their hard, defined muscles. I didn’t know if it was the sips of whiskey earlier but I could barely suppress the urge to lick the planes of their pecs and run my tongue along the ridges of their chiseled abs.

Corey and Caleb Amhursts might be a monsters but their bodies were carved by the gods in heaven. Their gazes turned hungry as they drank in my almost naked body.

The dark look on their faces made my insides burn hot.

The brush of Caleb’s fingers on my skin turned my attention to him. He was slowly sliding the straps of my bra down my shoulders.
