The Scoundrel Who Stole Christmas
‘Tis the season for sabotage.
Leah Sterling has one objective this Christmas: secure a proposal during her stay at Bellthorne Hall. If she succeeds before the house party ends, her cousin will take her on the adventure she has always dreamed of—to Switzerland. Unfortunately, the one man capable of ruining her plans has just arrived. Felix Hawthorne already cost Leah a husband three Christmases ago, and she refuses to let the scoundrel do it again.
Felix Hawthorne has come to the house party with a promise to keep: fulfill his late mother’s dying wish and find himself a wife. The task should be simple enough, but his search becomes considerably more complicated when he discovers Miss Leah Sterling among the guests. Their last Christmas together ended badly, and she clearly hasn’t forgiven him. Not only that, but she seems determined to thwart him at every turn.
When Leah becomes convinced Felix is sabotaging her chances at marriage again, she decides to return the favor. Soon their polite rivalry turns into a Yuletide war. But the more they interfere with each other’s pursuits, the more they begin to wonder if they’ve been chasing the wrong ones all along.
