The Withering Dawn

A siren alone is lost. A merciful pirate is vulnerable.

Nazario, a Spanish pirate and captain of The Amanacer, chases thrills and lives on the idea that every moment could be his last, but when he attacks what he thinks is just a merchant vessel, he realizes his last moment could be closer than he thinks.
When everything goes wrong and he finds himself in the debris of a sinking ship, it’s the half-starved woman that was captive on the mysterious ship that pulls him from the depths. She is not what she seems, but Nazario is also not a man to let a debt go unpaid.
Aeris has been a captive most of her life. She’s a siren without a skrill and the rugged, handsome pirate who just freed her from her prison has been the only one to show her kindness, even if it was brief. She knows that revealing what she is could get her killed, but death has been breathing down her neck her whole life. She’s not about to cower from it now.
Now a captive on The Amanacer, Aeris wonders if death is truly what she wants. Nazario doesn’t look at her like most men do, with horror and hatred, but he still will not let her go.
Perhaps she doesn’t want him to.

***This is a dark romantasy novella in the “Wicked Tides” universe and can be read alone. Although, for the sake of lore, it is beneficial to read book 1 first. Triggers include: Violence, past abuse, talk of slavery and trafficking, loss, thoughts of suicide, graphic sex, and cultist behavior***
