What do you do when your ex is back to haunt you—and the only thing more dangerous than him is the guy hired to protect you?

Emory Thorne’s life is finally looking up. She’s landed her dream job as dance choreographer for a famous boy band and her future seems bright—until her past crashes in. Her abusive ex has escaped from prison and is hunting her down. Emory’s world is once again dominated by constant fear.
Enter Cole Drake: a tough-as-nails former SEAL with a smoldering gaze and tortured soul. Assigned to keep Emory safe, their chemistry is electric from the moment they meet. But Cole’s protective instincts clash with Emory’s determination to keep her career dreams alive. Meanwhile, the man who torched her car—and self-esteem—slinks in the shadows, his threats growing ever more deadly.
Drawn into her ex’s twisted games, Emory and Cole must confront their deepest fears and darkest secrets, igniting a bond that neither expected. Their stolen moments of intimacy are charged with raw, unspoken need, and every brush of skin, every heated glance, fuels a raging fire. But Cole’s steely composure masks a heart scarred by loss, and Emory is convinced she’ll never love again.
Can Emory and Cole escape pain to find love, or will an obsessed ex extinguish their flame forever?
