Maid of Honor Meets Best Man

I’m kind of loosely made and disorganized, and I’m my sister’s Maid of Honor. The Best Man, handsomely rugged, is practical—serious. I think we have a mismatch here.

I’m excited to arrive in Idaho to take care of last-minute wedding details. I am totally jazzed!
But my partner, the Best Man, Maverick, is a no-nonsense guy. Talk about putting a damper on my spirited ideas.
What’s more, we’re staying in the same house for a whole week!
Through door tag colors, party planning, and a scary movie, I’m starting to like this guy. He doesn’t completely trash all my ideas and is calm and becomes my hero of sorts when I try to start a kitchen fire—accidentally, of course.
I know there is a cinnamon roll inside of him, but how do I find it?
Who am I kidding? Even if he took a slight interest in me, we’re complete opposites. This is not some kind of meant-to-be romance.
But he’s pulling me toward him like a magnet, and I can’t pull away.
