“I saw you through the living room window. I’m not sure what you were doing, hiding in those bushes, but I figured you’d find your way to my doorstep eventually,” he says, a wry smile stretching across his lips.

I laugh. “Sorry about that. I wasn’t sure if I really wanted to do this.”

“Do what, exactly?” Kace raises an inquisitive eyebrow.

All I can do is stare at him. He looks so handsome in the simplest of white tank tops and cargo shorts. I see the fine scars from shrapnel running down his left leg, the quad muscles bulging whenever he shifts his weight from one foot to the other. The view makes my fingertips itch with rampant desire as I inhale deeply and gather the nerve to look him in the eyes.

“I don’t think I know what ‘what’ actually entails,” I manage, suddenly feeling naked in my oversized tee and cotton slacks. This man makes me wet just by looking at me. “Look, we got personal. Really fast. And given my position here on the estate, I feel I have to address it.”

“Amaya, I think I’ve said it before, but allow me to say it again for your peace of mind because you deserve the reassurance. Nothing we do on a personal level has any impact on your career prospects within the GS group. You need to be fully aware of that. What happens between us, stays between us.”

“What is happening between us?” I hear myself asking and realize I’ve wanted to know from the moment our lips met.

Kace thinks about it for a moment. “Would you like to come in?”

“To talk?”

“Yeah.” He steps back to welcome me inside while I stifle a dry chuckle.

My core is already tingling, but my heart stops altogether when I walk into the living room and realize that Kace isn’t alone. Finn and Elias are lounging on the sofa while a jazz concert plays on a huge wall-mounted screen above the rustic-style fireplace.

The interior of the house was designed to mimic a mountain cabin, with wooden wall paneling and hardwood flooring, plush carpets and plaid textile patterns on the seating furniture. It’s beautiful. Comfy and welcoming, clearly high-end from the choice of materials but homey and warm.

“I think we should talk in private,” I say to Kace, then give Elias and Finn an awkward nod. “Hey, guys. No offense of course.”

“None taken,” Finn replies with a playful smile.

Oh, gosh, the look in his eyes has my insides squirming with desire. Elias’s dark glower causes tiny ice flowers to bloom along my spine. He’s a different kind of hot altogether. And Kace, Kace gets close enough to draw a deep breath and tickle my neck with the tip of his nose. “You smell like the summer rain,” he whispers in my ear, making me shudder.

“I wasn’t expecting this,” I say, trying to play it off as best I can. But I’m losing my ability to speak as I glance around and realize I’m more of a sheep caught between wolves at this point. And all I want is for them to devour me. If there’s a room in hell for each of these dirty thoughts that are currently swirling through my head, I reckon mine would be a penthouse.

“I was,” Kace says, and I can feel the warmth of his body as he steps closer. “I think you’re aware we’ve been hinting at it, perhaps in jest at times, but I know you understand, Amaya.”

“Understand what?” I ask. He’s right though. I know what this is about. I just need them to say it out loud for my brain to fully function again.

“The three of us, we’re tight. Tighter than most guys,” Kace says. His hand moves slowly over my hip, settling on the small of my back as he gently guides me toward the sofa. “We’ve been best friends since the Navy, and our bond has only grown stronger since. We share our lives, our greatest and worst moments alike. Our business. Our hobbies. And we share our women too.”

“You share your women,” I repeat after him.

“Not all of them,” Finn interjects. “Frankly, few have been bold enough to consider all three of us for a long-term relationship. Most of them can’t cope with the idea.”

“You strike us as different,” Elias says, getting up from his seat. “Tell me I’m wrong, Amaya.”

“I can’t.” Where the hell did that come from? Shouldn’t I play the cautious prude some more? How can I, after what Finn and I experienced earlier in my yoga class? Nah, that ship has sailed, and given how aroused I am, my body is eager to bypass my reasoning altogether. “I’ve never done anything like that before.”

Kace smiles and kisses me on the lips. “That’s okay. We don’t want to rush you into anything either,” he says, his voice a low and sizzling purr that makes liquid heat pool between my thighs.

“In fact, we were hoping to get to know you a little better tonight,” Finn says, leaving the sofa so he can get closer. Kace gives him a conspiratorial nod and moves away, then he and Elias take their seats in the guest chairs flanking the coffee table while Finn wraps his arms around my waist. “Nothing fancy. Just to ease you in.”

“Ease me in,” I mumble.

My heart is racing. I’m out of my damn mind and I can’t seem to stop myself. I don’t want to stop myself. Something insane is about to happen, and I want to revel in every second of it.

Finn runs his fingers through my hair. His touch is electric, making my skin dance as he grabs a handful of my black curls and gently pulls my head back.

“Yes, precisely. To ease you in,” I hear Kace say. “How about it, Amaya?”

Finn licks the side of my neck. Slowly. Wonderfully. I tremble in his arms as I close my eyes for a moment, understanding that this is where my resistance has come to die, eagerly replaced by a mindless desire that I cannot—nor do I wish to—control.
